Discussing weight with your child

My son is shuffle/waddling down the stairs, complaining that his pants don't fit him right. He is frustrated about this to the point that I imagine him upstairs trying to play immediately after getting dressed only to have to pull up his pants half a dozen times before he gives up and seeks help.…

Dress What Your Body Tells You to

We have got some fashion news for you, you don’t need to wear a tight dress in order to look sexy, just dress what your body shape tells you to as your fashion choices shouldn’t depend upon the latest fashion trend on a catwalk show; it should be according to your body shape and you don’t need a body scanner to tell you which body shape clothing choices should you adopt, it would come naturally to you with some basic guidelines and you’ll be off on your way to pick some of the most…

The height I once was

I am shrinking.

I take a bone supplement every day, try to walk more often to stretch out my stuffed-behind-a-desk-all-day body and even recently got a new mattress, and yet, I am shrinking.…

My One Month Postpartum Body

It's been over a month after the birth of my baby and I've managed to lose a bit of weight. My prenatal weight was 57 kg and three days before I put to bed I weighed 74 kg. Now, a month after delivering my baby, I’m just a little over 62 kg. So yay me!

It's well known that mothers who breastfeed burn about 500 calories a day, so its very important to top by eating, albeit eating healthy.…

Top Four Things You Might Need To Lose Your Baby Weight (And it's not proper footwear and lose-fitting clothing.)

So, you've decided it's time to lose the baby weight. Fantastic! You're a rock star! You can totally do this! Being a mom though, you'll be needing a few things that your pre-baby self probably wouldn't think of, so here they are:

#4. A good sports bra. Sounds obvious, right? Well, sure, but the ta tas have had a serious makeover since you last stuffed them into a comfy cotton bra. And the culprit is gravity. It's not fun being hit in the face with a boob, or having them swing one… Continue

Am I More of a Woman Before or After Kids?

Since being either pregnant or breastfeeding for the last three and a half years, I haven’t really spent a lot of money on clothes. Or bought many clothes at all for that matter. Why bother when I’m a new size every month? I didn’t bother with maternity clothes since I am far to frugal to buy pricey maternity…

BODYARMOR Sports Drink

When I was young(er), I played sports, worked out often and did something a lot of kids do not do today...I played outside! I tried a different brand of sports drink during my active years and never liked them. The taste reminded me of water with a squirt of lemon, salt and a tablespoon of sugar. I couldn't understand the fixation other athletes had with it. Back then, that sports drink was our only option, because we were told…

Suit Up...It's Summertime!

What is the deal with women and bathing suits?  (That was a rhetorical question.)  Why are we SO embarrassed to be seen in one in front of our friends?  Guys could not care less and are the first ones in the pool after the kids jump in.  Yet we sit in the heat, covered, knowing our swim suit will never see the light of day,…

WTH, ABC Family??!!

My kids have always LOVED commercials.  Maybe it's because their dad works in advertising, or maybe it's because, unlike me, they never ever get tired of hearing the "Flipeez" theme song that seems to play on repeat between shows.  Whatever the case, when an ad pops up on the screen, my twins are completely riveted.  So when a totally inappropriate commercial was shown during a KID movie on…
