Symptoms to Take Notice of in Children

The NHS has been facing ever-increasing pressures in recent years, with slashed budgets, staff shortages and lack of resources taking its toll on the quality of care. One of the many ways we commonly see the impact of these pressures is in waiting times for GP…

Mother of the Bride Guide

The day you’ve dreamed of for years has finally arrived! Your little girl is all grown up and has chosen a partner to start her life with, and you are officially a MoB -- Mother of the Bride! While congratulatory remarks are appropriate at this juncture, so are a few…

How to Through A Larger Than Life Small Wedding on a Budget

This one is as simple as crowdfunding your honeymoon. It might sound strange at first, but do you really need another blender or set of dinner plates? Instead of having your guests purchase a bunch of things you’ll end up trying to return anyway, why not let them chip in for…

My son is looking at me incredulously. "All the way to the edges? Are you sure?"

Yup, I'm sure.…

How to Get Started Organizing

I recently had a discussion with some of my family about the boundaries I set for myself in terms of what I keep.  I have one bookshelf in my living area and it is divided up into sections; organizing books, business books, social media books, travel books, hiking guides, and of course, fiction books to keep and some are in a “to read” section.

I was shocked yet thoroughly entertained by a friend of mine who told me that his sister got her fiance to agree (then adhere to when they got married) to change his last name to the last name of her child's father.. He agreed to that! Ha!

I spent some time thinking about the dynamics of a relationship and the personality of these two individuals that could lead to this sort of decision, and was thinking if I could ever be so self-serving, inconsiderate and downright… Continue

Where are the limits to…?

I recently read an article about a 10 year old boy who is a bull fighting prodigy. He is from Mexico and is currently traveling in France partaking in non-professional demonstrations in bullfighting schools. In France, the approved age for bull fighters is sixteen. Due to the age gap, the boy’s involvement has resulted in a canceled appearance and has sparked massive debate about the dangers he faces in the ring.

His parents, who both support his… Continue
