I haven’t known you long and your story is short. The Lord led me to the book of your son when I needed you most. There were so many times where I was down about certain things in my life. Things people were saying to me. I couldn’t handle. I couldn’t be graceful and set things aside. Then I stumbled upon your story. Your short, simple, sweet prayer.

This is my fourth week to participate in #ASKAWAYFriday. For those who don’t know what #ASKAWAYFriday is, you exchange a set of 10 questions for another blogger to answer. Below are 10 questions that Carissa asked me and I hope that you enjoy my answers.
This week I paired up with Carissa at The Green Eyed Lady Blog. She is married and has a beautiful daughter. She has been blogging since 2008 and…Continue

I enjoyed participating in AskAwayFriday last week and figured that it was a great way for my readers to get to know me. This week I connected with Jhanis at Fascinations of a Vanilla Housewife. Jhanis lives in the Philippines. She is married and has two children.
I met Jhanis for the first time earlier this week, I am new to AskAwayFriday and I was looking for someone to connect with. She happily agreed to be my partner.…Continue

I didn’t get a chance to watch the VMA award shows on T.V. a few nights ago but I have seen clips of Miley Cyrus’s big performance. As a mom, I am outraged and feel as if this type of content shouldn’t be on prime time television. After all, many families…Continue

I just finished reading “Just Beneath the Surface” by R. H. Ramsey. This book is rated for a mature audience and shouldn’t be read by someone under the age of 18 due to the graphic nature of this book. This book was full of twists and turns and there was never a dull moment. This book is filled with suspense, drama, and action that will leave you wanting to read more.
I want to thank Rhonda for giving me the opportunity to review her book. While this is a fiction…Continue

Our sermons at church this month have been about prophecy and the possibility that the end times are near. In our small group, we often discuss how this will affect our children. The general feeling that comes through is fear. Fear that our kids will be living in particularly difficult times in the world. Fear that they won't have a chance to grow in their faith before they're faced with some serious spiritual decisions. And fear that we're not going to get as much time with them as we would…Continue

This story takes place a couple of years ago when Jake was in 3rd grade and ranks a magnitude 10 on the Richtor scale of embarrassment. This was when I was working again full time and less hopeless (I joke). Anyway, Craig and I usually spent our weekends…
It's official! Trying to get my kids ready for school is like waging a full fledged war on time-management! Let me break down this morning's routine as we prepare to breach the castle like some sort of crazed screaming barbarians. And yes, someone will be calling to confirm my reservation at the nut…Continue

I grew up the opposite of Stacey (Or insert cute blogging pseudonym). My family is extremely religious. My Parents started out as Baptists and swapped over to non-denominational Christians. Don’t confuse non-denominational with non-religious though. We went to church every Sunday and then some. My parents were deacons and treasurers and bulletin writers and other assorted volunteer positions. My parents were Gideons and all that that entails. I went to Sunday School until I taught it. I went…Continue

Over the weekend I read a book. I had heard about it from my husband who had heard about it from a local radio station. While he told me about it, I got goosebumps. I was even more interested in learning more about it since the "characters" were from a town less than 30…Continue
