This Christmas

Have you ever come across a post on social media that changed the way you see your world? I did, just this week. I came across a post on my newsfeed that showed dirty, rough hands. It had a story attached, that always piques my interest, so I read it and it hit me hard. My husband and I do so much for our kids so they never go without,…

Non-Toy Ideas for Gifts

Every year I say the same thing, "don't overdo it, Krystal!". What do I end up doing? You guessed it. Don't we all though? You're walking through the store and those little voices go off in your head as you near the toy aisle of just how much this would make your daughter light up. Or how much fun your son would have building this with his dad. The list goes on. We're always finding ways to justify overdoing it for our kids. And why not? They're our kids! Non-Toy gift ideas for the kids this holiday season. Treat the family to something more than just something to play with at home and get everyone involved. Since we want to always…

Busch Gardens - Christmas Town Experience

This would be our second visit to Busch Gardens this year, and I was excited because it's "Christmas Town" time! According to the weather forecast, there was only a 10% chance of rain, so I knew that meant 90% chance of rain. I was happy when we arrived because there was only a drizzle off and on...but that changed around mid day.

We arrived at…

Adios Week

I cannot be the only one…who has fallen very far behind in their Christmas obligations; you know the shopping, the decorating, and the planning of schedules for the impending school holiday. Although, it is not entirely my fault, here are few of the things that have been happening in our house over the past week, keeping me from getting this whole Christmas thing under control.

My Sonny Boy has returned to campaigning for his right to make his own rules, I wouldn’t be opposed to his…

That Year We Got the Biggest Tree Ever

I remember when Scott and I went to get our very first tree together. I remember buying ornaments and taking a zillion pictures of it decorated. It sent a thrill right through me to see our very first tree sparkling in the living room of the apartment we were renting. It almost made everything we were doing, building a life together, seem truly, truly, true. If you know what I mean.…

Blog Rave: Christmas!!!

I have already done all of my Christmas shopping and I've done it all online. I absolutely love online shopping as I always seem to find a different or unique gift....and sometimes at a FANTASTIC price *wink*. I wanted to find my little niece, my only niece, and the only grand daughter to my parents something sweet and special. I love handmade items. They seem truly special to me. There is just something about "mass produced" products that turn me off on the "special" front. So where…

Pewi, what's that smell? "Oh, that's called STYLE, my dear... And I wish I would have had it when MY kid was learning to walk!"

When we were kids, the only method of solo transportation we had was a solid steel walker that looked like it should have come with its own pair of orthopedic shoes. Hell, for all WE know, my grandmother was working a little side deal with her podiatrist and using us as bait!…

Wrapping This Week Up

I cannot be the only one...who has realized that the end of another week in December only means seven days closer to Christmas, and that thought is making me break out in a cold sweat.  I don't know about the rest of you, but my normal chores don't cease in the name of Christmas, meaning I haven't wrangled up any extra time to spend getting this holiday thing under control.…

The mysteries of parenthood and a personalized Santa video

All parents learn to appreciate a good mystery. Think about it: One moment, you are happily twirling along in the universe, doing your own thing and the next moment, you have a baby and are faced with a million unanswerable questions. (How long is the baby supposed to sleep now? What did the baby eat to make that smell? You want me to put the thermometer where?)

As your…

Christmas Gift Ideas for Infants – Eight Early Learning Toy Gift Ideas for Babies

Are you need some great gift ideas for your baby this Christmas?  As you know babies don’t need very many toys, especially during the first four months.  Once your baby turns 4 months old, he or she will need to begin spending time on their tummy to help develop their motor skills and strengthen their core muscles.   Even if your child isn’t quite ready to play with the toys, babies are always interested in looking around and exploring objects around them.  Playtime is also a great way…
