I am always looking for new projects and hobbies. I love art projects and crafty hobbies, although I never stick with one project too long. My house is filled with piles of projects unfinished…knitting, stained glass, needlepoint, sketching, painting. The only crafty hobby I have stayed with for any length of time is cross-stitch, although some projects took me years to complete.

Each Christmas I collect all my old cards and put them away for the next year. Not because I am sentimental, but because I know they can be re-purposed for the next year’s gift tags! It’s really easy to do. Read more about creating gift tags from Christmas cards.

I like providing a variety of art activities for my little girl. I believe that like literacy, creativity needs to be fostered. In particular, open-ended art projects are especially important in our house. Painting, drawing, sculpting....

Tired of having glitter, pom poms, and wrinkled up paintings scattered everywhere?! At the risk of sounding a little less than sentimental, I can barely keep up with the massive influx of KidArt from preschool, which sent me searching for storage solutions. I found one that was basic, but brilliant. Oh, and cheap - a total bonus. :)
