Leave My Computer Alone!

I count myself lucky that my husband, sister and brother-in-law are all computer savvy.  I can only get by on the day to day things.  If something goes wrong like, it doesn't boot up, it's slow or just won't work.  I can't do anything about it.  There have been a few times were the hardware stopped working and I had to wait until my husband came home.  Continue

Awesomeness = Grandma!

Are you a marathon shopper?  Maybe the one that get to the stores the night before a HUGE sale for the best deals?  I've seen some amazing pictures of the deals people have been getting from the Black Friday shopping trips and a part of me (a very SMALL part) wonders what it would be like.  continue

Cooking Memories

I can't cook. Wait! No, I can cook but I'm not a foodie.  I hope I would eventually get there but right now I'm more of a get something on the table to feed my family.  I admire those that can whip up an amazing meal on the spot from scratch. continue

Toddler Proof Wall Decals

Do you rent? We do. When my hubby was chosen for these new orders we agreed to rent a place until we knew for sure that we would settle down here. We didn't want to go through the rush of trying to sell like we had to with this last move. That was WAY too much stress and I don't even want to get into the crap our house is worth now because of the economy.  So now we're renting. One reason I was sad to move was because I took time to … Continue

Niche Private Sales Sites

Sure. Deal-of-the-Day (DOTD) and Private Sales sites are ubiquitous now. Most everyone I know is subscribed to Groupon, LivingSocial, ideeli and some other fledgling local and fashion & travel deal sites. As much as we, customers, enjoy a good deal, it’s getting dizzying to navigate the DOTD landscape (which is why we recommended an aggregator like DealRadar.com which we…

Coupon Clipping and Organic Shopping?

Before my son was a year of age we were really into making sure the foods he ate and at least a good portion of the foods I ate were organic, but slowly overtime when we had to put a crunch on our grocery budget I found that my coupon clipping and sale shopping helped stretch the food in the house, and to be honest I rarely buy an item unless it is onsale and I can also use a coupon with it. I have learned to save about 40% every time I go grocery shopping. But lets be honest, being a member of… Continue

Mommy On A Budget: Lotus ORGANIC Cosmetics

So I talked about Totsy.com a few weeks ago. It's a fantastic website where you can sign up for great deals for your family. Seriously, the deals are awesome. I went on there again today just to check it out and I saw that they are having a sale on Lotus Cosmetics starting in 30 days. What really caught my attention is that this line of make-up is USDA certified organic. I don't know about you but my skin reacts to anything harsh I put on it and I've been on the look out for a good…

Paid Full Price, But Worth Every Penny!

So my blog is always about getting stuff for free, almost free, or with a great discount. But not everything in life you need (or maybe want) is going to be free or discounted. So I thought it would be fun to do a post about those items that you actually paid full price for, but they were worth every penny!  I'm sure there are a few things in my life, but the most recent purchase was our new kitchen plates at christmas time!  We bought these at Target for $49.99 for a 16pc set (I bought 4 sets… Continue
