Whenever I pack for a trip, I like to keep things simple. I’m a minimalist at heart, although I don’t mind having a few extras here and there as long as they aren’t too cumbersome. So when it comes to my hospital bag, I know I only want to pack the essentials! After all, I have…Continue

Childbirth is this big black hole of unknown to an expecting Mom. You can read books, seek advice from women who have experienced it, and prepare in every way possible. Yet, no one can actually tell you what is going to happen in there. It's a crap shoot.
For me personally, this created some anxiety for me 1st pregnancy. I…Continue

t’s a cliché for a reason–life happens when you are busy making plans. I filmed this 33 weeks pregnancy vlog in a state of blissful ignorance, one day before my pre-term labor adventure began!
In the video, I talk about how I’m enjoying pregnancy but have so much to do that I wouldn’t mind if this baby stayed in a couple of months past the due date. Boy, was I mistaken!
The next morning, I was rushed to…Continue

I am a self-proclaimed fashionista.
Clothes-horse, shoe-whore, handbag junkie...you name it, I'm all over it.
But sometimes having all the components makes assembling the perfect outfit even more difficult. Like, where the heck do you find time to sift through everything and put it all together so it looks effortlessly perfect????
Ahhh, luckily for me, there's an app for that. =)
ClosetSpace is a new application from fashion analytics company Stylitics that wants…Continue

I realize this post is quite a bit after my hospital stay, but I thought it would be a good idea to reflect on my hospital packing list for my delivery. I read a lot of articles on what to pack in your labor and delivery suitcase and many of them were repetitive, and some had some great ideas that I haven’t though of. So here is what I packed, and my discussion on whether I used the items or not.

What items do I need to pack in my hospital bag when preparing to have a baby? Most new moms tend to over pack their own hospital bag and most of the items that they take with them are safely tucked away in their bag and are not used. Most of the time the hospital will supply your basic supplies such as soap, lotion,…Continue

It's amazing to me how Goatdog and I can have such differing opinions of the UPS man. We're talking complete opposite ends of the spectrum, people. I just so happen to LOVE a visit from the man in brown. I mean, he brings me wine and shoes and sassy new dresses -- what girl wouldn't love that??! Goatdog,…

Wow, I can’t believe it has been two years since I was impatiently awaiting for you to arrive. I remember when I was on my way to my final doctors appointment, I didn’t know that it would be my final visit as a pregnant mom. I spent the whole month of December praying that Baby S would be late. I was dreading the newborn stage. Plus, we did not know her name at this point (I wanted Scarlet, Eric wanted Fiona, neither of us liked each other's favorite name [I did not want my daughter's name to invoke the image of Shrek!! Like anyone would really think of stunning Fiona from…

A C-Section is a major surgery and can be very scary for most moms, it was for me. I was terrified when the ultrasound technician discovered that my son was breech. My doctor order an ultrasound to check my amniotic fluid levels once I reached 40 weeks because with my oldest son, my fluid levels dropped after…Continue

The start of January meant one thing to me: Baby time! Time to get all of the Christmas decor put away & time to focus on having our 3rd baby! I, like many mamas spend the last couple months of my pregnancies resting and nesting. I call it my ‘R&N Time’… Get the nursery together, wash clothes and blankets,…Continue

When I became pregnant for the second time, it took visiting my local doctor once for me to decide that home birth was a must for me. And although I’d considered home birth on occasion, when I finally settled into that route for my birth, it became a life-changing endeavor for my husband and I.
Birth can be empowering. Transformative. And such a positive experience. Natural birth. Home birth. It can be all of these things and more. So, for whichever route you choose…Continue
