As you might have noticed, I'm in to graphic design. I actually should have majored in it, but chose journalism instead. When I was working at the TV station I learned a ton about graphics. In college I also took web design and learned a lot about building and designing websites accompanied by my HTML for dummies book. I also have a CSS for dummies book and I truly must be a dummy because I could not figure it out. (Read… Continue

Around this time last year, I was entering my third trimester with our second child. Anticipating the logistical juggling act of 2 under 2 with great trepidation, I was in the market for a double stroller roomy enough to accommodate our tall toddler and the new babe, but small and flexible enough to service our highly mobile urban lifestyle.
After much research, I narrowed the field down to a BOB Revolution Duallie, the Bumbleride Indie Twin, and the Maclaren Twin Techno. I had… Continue

In my house, Breast is Best. As many of you know breastfeeding is very important to me. Of all the things that motherhood brings, I think the gift of feeding, nurturing and bonding with my daughter is the greatest. Other than that you will find recipes (good food, bad pictures), fun youtube clips (that are family friendly), design ideas, parenting tips (and/or a homage to our dogs), and craft ideas for you or your kids. At the core of feng shui is the quest for balance between yin and yang, where all things are either one or the other. For example, being relaxed is yin, but being alert is yang. This concept is applied to home furnishings, where fabrics are the most yin, but glass is the most yang, and wood falls in… Continue

He had a lot of fun...so I thought I'd pass along a tip if you like playing with color, too.
There are a lot of online tools out there where you can check out colors and color combinations in virtual rooms before you head to the… Continue
