I can only imagine that every member of my family just read the title and clicked on it so fast thinking I was writing a post about them! Slow your hearts down… I’m writing to all the mamas and friends who have written me over the course of this month. I’m at a stand-still right now with nothing to do. That’s right… NOTHING. It feels odd and I’m a little out of place. I have nothing to bake or cook, nothing to wrap, nothing to clean and only 1 basket of laundry to fold. SO I guess, as…Continue

Lisa is a brilliant, 30-year-old computer programmer recruited by ISF-Intel Securities Foundation, a contractor for the Department of Defense. At such a young age, she already has a patent on a software that the DOD is willing to buy from her at any price. Overnight, it has become the most sought-after program on the planet.Continue

** Girls and drama go together like humidity and swass.
** Try as I may, I just don't have the moves like Jagger.
** It's best to look at the toilet seat before sitting down, at least in my house anyway.
** Clearly, my kids wait till I've just changed their sheets to pee the bed.
** Drinking cheap wine after having…Continue

My kids are getting to that dreaded age where every flippin' weekend they beg for a sleepover. As soon as school gets out on Friday, they start hittin' me up for a party in their pj's. And I don't know about you, but I am not a big fan of the sleepover, mainly because it ends up biting ME in the ass the next day.
Now my son is not really the issue, since he…Continue

Remember when you were growing up and you said you'd never ever do to your own children the things your parents did to you? Perhaps it was a vow you made to yourself in the midst of snot and tears as you slammed the door of your room so hard that it nearly shattered the windows? Well, my sixteen-year-old self would probably punch me in the face for doing so, but here's me admitting…Continue

** Candy corn disappears faster than wine in my house. (And that's FAST!!!)
** My allergies can seriously suck it.
** Little girls and drama go together like hookers and high heels.
** It's called a "hot" glue gun for a reason. Ouch!
** I'd forgotten how much I wanna feed Barney cookies laced…Continue
Ok, I just need to get some things off of my chest here. This is family drama.
My cousin A and I are only 9 months apart. Her mom and mine share a birthDAY although they are two years apart themselves. Out of my mom and her 4 siblings, I think that she and A’s mom have the closest relationship. We also have that close…Continue

Seven years ago someone mentioned 'weblogs' and I winced. Why would someone want to go and put their journaling thoughts online for all to see? Good god, what madness is taking over society? We left for Peace Corps in 2000 and returned to the rubbed-and-well-worn jeans look. Cell phones for everyone...and everywhere. And now, diluting of the web with weblogs?!
And then just five years later we welcomed our first child. We were living in the Bay Area and our family lived just far…

As a mom of two girls, I often wonder what drama their teenage years will bring. What will our relationships be like and how do I avoid the pitfalls that my own mother and I have experienced? The recent visit from my own mother made me stop, reflect and realize what an evolving and ever changing relationship mothers and daughters go through.…Continue

Let me update you on all the baby momma drama that’s going on in our lives at the moment. It’s relatively quiet after the last fiasco. She hasn’t pulled more shizit.
The latest court date was scheduled for last week, but a big case came through and bumped hubby’s case from the docket. Good thing the lawyer told us this before 6 a.m. that morning so I didn’t stay up until 11 p.m. the night before looking for hubby’s 2008 tax return paperwork – or not.

This past Friday we get a knock on our door around dinner time. We were about to head out for dinner and were surprised that someone was there. We live outside of the city limits, but still within a neighborhood. There isn’t any trash collection (let alone for recycling) or any other “city duties” where we live, but we can shoot our pistols and burn shit so it evens out. The only visitors we get are the neighborhood girl scouts selling cookies or the volunteer fire department requesting…Continue

Here’s my baby momma update (incase anyone was wondering). We did get our step-daughter last weekend as scheduled. Apparently she threw a fit before she went to school Friday wanting to come over, so her mom let her. This situation is so beyond ridiculous.

I’ve talked about how sensitive my daughter is before, but she’s also very intellegent. They say the smarter you are the crazier you are. I think it’s true in her situation...
