As I was breezing through Facebook a few days ago I came across this picture:
After laughing at the intense look on the little girl's face and the quote, it struck a chord. A really big, two-handed,…Continue

Someone was really sane to say it takes days, weeks, months n sometimes years before our thoughts start taking its shape n become a reality. Here I am a live example of slow n steady wins the race ....
It was an out of the world feeling to become a mother but not to forget equally stressful..as had to deal with everything for the first time and couldn't afford to take a chance cause a life…

How do I juggle being a good mother and running Filihood?
I can tell you this... I definitely do not always succeed! It is obvious that when you regularly have to "downgrade"…

My thoughts on the subject of having a child in the midst of a hectic time for my business
Honestly, I couldn't cope with the idea, when I found out I was pregnant. The timing was lousy, and originally I didn't intend having more children (I already have e beautiful 11…

Genre is a subject on which a particular media is discussed. It can be compared to something like an extempore where people are given a time and asked to prepare on it before giving a speech. The genre can be used for discussing about a particular movie, novel or even a speech that can be related to a particular subject. Some of the genres quite popular are romance, crime and psychology apart from various other types.
In novels, there are quite a few genres that are more popular than…Continue

I have never been a model employee. From the age of 14 until I was 25, I've held around 12 jobs (I may be forgetting a couple). In each and every one of these positions, I would show up to work and do my job with one foot out the door. When I worked at Wal-Mart, I was forever filling up receipt tape with random notes to myself. Story ideas, song lyrics, scraps of poetry, random observations. I'd watch the customers for inspiration for character's that I would one day write about. I'd…Continue

Sitting around with Matthew discussing prescription drug commercials and wondering about the various side-effects.
So many to choose from. How do the patients know which to select?

Thrilling Thursday - it is thrilling to be able to think like anything is possible.
Throughout the month of August the Thrilling Thursday posts have been about thinking differently. This Thrilling Thursday the post is about thinking as if anything was possible. Imagine a world where anything is possible. Living a life where if your mind thinks of it and your heart believes it, you accomplish it. There are no limits on what you can do. Isn't that a wonderful world?

Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird
That cannot fly.
Hold fast to dreams
For when dreams go
Life is a barren field
Frozen with snow.
A poem by the great Langston Hughes.…

“I’ve decided I want to be a Rock Star when I grow up,” Izzy said to me. "Really? Seriously? A Rock Star? Of all the things you can pick from...that’s what you want to be? But you’re so smart and talented in so many other things." I don’t actually say this to her even though I really wanted to. Oh, the joys of being a parent. What to say? What to do? Alas, I say nothing. Because the truth is, as much as I don’t want her to be a Rock Star, I also would never want to stop her from…Continue

I’m aware of the fact that I dream every night, although I usually (and thankfully) forget the specifics. The subject matter has not improved with age. When I used to suffer nightmares about showing up at school naked, I now suffer nightmares about showing up at work naked. Must say, my post-breastfeeding boobs look pretty good. I still dream about running and not getting anywhere, falling out of the sky, and being trapped in a car underwater. This might be a cry for help, but mostly I think…Continue
