Who taught you how to drive like that?

I was a late-in-life driver. There were a number of reasons why that is, but when it was time for me to learn what to do behind the wheel, my parents were not available to teach me. So, my Mom got me a driving instructor. (Thanks, Mom!)…

Teaching My Son How To Drive

If you are as ambitious as I am about the future of your children, you've probably already made a high school and even an university plan, a full-day schedule filled with elaborated activities and lots of goals for your little ones to achieve.

Make It Work Monday!

It's Monday people and as my favorite gay, Tim Gunn, says, "Make It Work!" I always have a hard time on Mondays getting going. Someone has a case of the Mondays! I am just coming off a usually fun or relaxing weekend and it's difficult to get moving and face the week. JT has gone back to work and I am going it alone with CE and our pooch, Teddy. I usually need a little boost of something, whether it's extra caffeine or something inspirational.

A Tale of Two Trips

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of childhood, it was the age of parenthood, it was the epoch of excitement, it was the epoch of dullness, it was the season of laughter, it was the season of bickering.

It was summer, and it was family vacation time.

It is not often that a 30-12-year-old woman has the opportunity to vacation separately with her family of origin (mom, dad, and 30-10-year-old sister) and her family of record (husband and… Continue
