What kinds of things should you put in a changing table for your little one? And what’s the best way to organize all of it so that you can easily find stuff when you need it?
As a new mom, I had NO. CLUE. Well, at least at first. But after a bit of trial and error, I’ve come up with a… Continue

Whenever I pack for a trip, I like to keep things simple. I’m a minimalist at heart, although I don’t mind having a few extras here and there as long as they aren’t too cumbersome. So when it comes to my hospital bag, I know I only want to pack the essentials! After all, I have… Continue

The biggest shock after having our son is that after four days the hospital was letting us take him home. Continue
Despite the baby prep classes and recovery time from my C-section and the video the nurses insisted that we watched, it seemed really soon. As in: We don't know what we are doing yet - are you sure you…

When it came time for us to create a baby registry, mu husband and I felt really overwhelmed. There are so many products and brands and things you just never knew you needed. Sometimes the most logical things end up being useless, while the things you thought you’d never need become lifesavers. My… Continue

As I approach the, “Holy Moly, I better get ready for an infant!” stage, I’ve been starting to put together my diaper bag and hospital bag for baby #3! I feel like I’ve come a long way in packing my diaper bag. When I had Rocco, I was (obviously) a first time mom and packed him up as if we were going away for a week! I… Continue

Are looking for a graphic designer who does not cost a small fortune? If you answered yes, read the interview below.
Recently I attended a writers' critique session in my home town of Denver Colorado. While there I met David Loeff. I
was immediately impressed with his knowledge of graphic design. I am very happy David agreed to let me interview him and learn about his newly published book on graphic designs.
Can you please tell the readers… Continue

Join me for Sexy Mama Saturday's!
I decided to start a new series. Lets call it...sexy mama!! This series will be all about ways/tips/ideas to feel like your own person again. When we become mommy's we tend to forget about ourselves; but also as mommys, we put our babies and families before ourselves - so what about ways to feel like us again that don't take a lot of time? I think it… Continue

..Growing up, my favorite part of the year was the holiday season! I love the feeling in the atmosphere, the smells, the food, the changing leaves - everything! But..like a lot of other things, that feeling kind of faded as I got older. It wasn't the same because all the kids in my family were adults now and it just felt different. One of the main things I looked forward to when… Continue

As most of you know, I am a full-time college student trying to get my business degree. I take some of the classes online to allow me to work and take care of my daughter. One of the joys annoyances of online classes is timed exams. Normally, this is not bad because quizzes are generally shorter tests. Final exams are a lot more intense and being that the class I had online this semester was a legal class, there was a lot to know and a… Continue

You're reading it here first! Remember reading about how I let Jaliyah cry it out for a few minutes
? Well..this morning we came downstairs for a morning bottle, after she ate I laid her on the floor for some play time like we do every morning. I went on to check my blog and realized it was suddenly VERY quiet, so I go to check on her and find this....

I know this is a touchy subject and everyone has their opinions, but "crying it out" seems to be my only option now. Jaliyah is a little over 4 months old now and she cries every time someone is not in her face or playing with her. Some may think 4 months is too early for this, and I used to think that. But I go to school full-time and have serious homework to do. Usually I just wait for her to go to bed and I do it, no matter how late I stay up, but now I'm getting behind - I only have 6… Continue

Guess what I got to do today?
TAKE A REAL SHOWER! I know, I know - you are jealous, and you should be - nanananana! It was a REAL shower, not a jump-in-speed-racer-3.5-minute-cut-yourself-shaving shower. I got to relaxxxxxx for a whole 15 minutes. I even got to do my version of a mommy-no-time pedicure. Whew, how exciting.

Today Jaliyah turned a whopping 4 months old (at 10:03pm to be precise). She can now..
- Roll from back to tummy, and tummy to back
- Yell at me
- Give me quite the attitude when yelling at me

One of the things that is almost near impossible to avoid when having a baby - diaper rash! How NOT fun..Jaliyah did not get her first diaper rash until a little after 2 months. I used just a regular, popular brand of cream which seemed to work pretty well and the rash was gone within a week. The diaper rash returned a few weeks later and at her DR appt, he prescribed her a prescription strength cream. That was recently, and I have been using this cream for about 7 days-ish. It did help a… Continue

That's a whole lotta blogging but that's ok - I loves it! I think I'll combine the 30 day and 365 picture in one post..who knows..anyways...

As some of you know, as I continue on my adventure of being a new mommy, I am finding things that I think are must-have's - this is what I call Elisha's Essentials. Well..found a new one!
This stuff is amazing. Jaliyah had terrible dry skin on her face by her ears and eyebrows. I kept catching myself picking at it (i hate pealy skin). I tried regular baby lotions and those would help in the moment but not long term...Continue here @ Baybee… Continue
