Super Bowl Party for the WHOLE Family

I absolutely LOVE football! I really do. You may have read my article 5 Things Fantasy Football Taught Me About LIFE, which really gives you an idea of where my love for this sport came from and why I am excited for THE BIG GAME on Sunday!

Peyton Manning was my Quarter Back for Fantasy Football, so Super Bowl XLVIII is pretty exciting for me! It is kind of funny how he became my QB actually. Last year I was pregnant and we were trying to think of a name for our little girl that would…

I'm a Fantasy Football Wife

I’m a Fantasy Football wife. Not a wife that is any man’s fantasy because she buys brats and makes nachos every Sunday afternoon,  takes the kids to the park during Monday night games or wears a team jersey and little else. No, I’m a wife who plays Fantasy Football, and let me tell you I’m no one’s fantasy once the games begin.

Thursday night the first NFL regular season game was delayed by a half hour and my first-round draft pick was playing. I actually got grumpy because a little…

What Would You Say If Tim Tebow Knocked On Your Door?

What Would You Say if Tim Tebow Knocked on Your Door?

Chances are, you’ll never really get the opportunity to answer that question.  But it’s still fun to think about.

Even though Denver is my town, TT just pulled off the…

Thoughts on Paterno from a Penn State alum and mom.

I am also a Penn State alum and a mom of three children, two of them young boys.  I share your disgust and I mourn the loss of innocence of all of those victims.  I also mourn the loss of our icon, Joe Paterno.  Paterno was more than a football coach.  For decades, he embodied how to lead with respect, honor and high standards.  Unfortunately, now he must be judged himself by those same high standards.  I agree with the board's decision, but I do not applaud it.  There is nothing here to…

Apparently, August hasn't exactly been my month either.

So much for that serene feeling I always get in August! Although my back finally healed up, I'm now in the midst of a nasty head cold. Yuck! I've heard that quite a few people are having this right now so, if you're one of them, I feel your pain! This August cold, rainy weather is certainly not doing me any favors.…
