Today is my 100th post! Wow! I seriously didn’t plan it this way…but I thought this was a fitting blog for my 100th. Here’s to my 200th!
A blogging friend of mine, Kami at The Fence wrote a post about mixing friends on Facebook. She said she hated mixing friends. That got me to thinking, because I love mixing friends. Not only in real life, but in my cyber life as well.

Although I began writing my latest blog on the follies with which people use Facebook and they way some of them are vindictive towards one another, my writing took a different turn, focusing more on the childhood friends I was lucky to have found and reconnected with because of Facebook.
A fellow mom-blogger, I know how busy you all are, but I would love it if you visited my site and read some of my work. I focus a lot of my writing on empowering women and the multi-faceted… Continue

Have you ever been held hostage by a bad party?
Come on, tell the truth.:-)
You know the kind that has as much appeal as your last dental visit, and equally as numbing!
But, out of obligation perhaps to a co-worker, family member or friend, you stayed and endured it. Undoubtedly you made a mental note that the next time “Penelope” gives a party, you’ll definitely be M.I.A. for the R.S.V.P. (Been there, done that).
Don’t get me wrong; it’s always a… Continue

In keeping with tradition today is again Friend Friday. And because it is her 40th birthday (not really, but i dont remember how old she is), today’s friend is: Tracy!
Tracy and I have been friends since 1996. We met while working in the same government office in Austin, TX. We were preggers at the same time and used to waddle over to the snack bar at the same time to get our breakfast… Continue

It's that time again, yes, everyone around me is either having a baby or anticipating trying to have a baby. I know, didn't I just post about Continue
this? Anyways, there are two things that I have come to know as my
truths..they may even be universal. The first is that apparently I am
still on the fence about a third child because no matter how many times
I tell myself, I am done and I want to move on with my life, every
single time one of my…

Today, I had an amazing realization. I used to hate when my Mom or my Mother in Law would call and ask all kinds of questions, or try to tell Continue
us what to do, how we should be behaving or spending ( rather saving)
our money. It used to drive me crazy, back when I was in my 20's,
before I had my own little precious gems. And now I know, now I
understand fully...Now, I also realize I will be 10 times worse! We…

Well. I had to leave the boat. There's a wedding. My husband on buisness begged me to come with him. A chance to see the grandkids. My friend is very sick. That did it. Here I am back in the land of ice and snow and not completely hating it, but you know.... It snowed all day today and I had to drive the big truck. Less chance of a spin out. I got to spend some time with my sweet friend (sigh), got a parking ticket (groan), had my… Continue

Many of us are always looking for the perfect Friendship Gift, especially on Valentines Day

Today we have a guest blog by Shari from The Friendship Stone Team !
Ok so I am stuck in a virtual real world. I of course I have friends, I have lots of friends, friends that I meet on a regular basis, friends that I speak to over the phone or skype on a regular basis, friends that I see once in a while and friends that I see once a year (but it is like we see each other every day) . Health, how do we appreciate it without losing it first? This is one of the questions that I think about quite a lot.
1. Everyday when you wake up and nothing hurts, say and know, it’s going to be a GREAT day!
2. If something does hurt, then decide what you are going to focus on instead to get your mind off of the parts that hurt.
3. Focus on what you want to accomplish that day, and then work hard to make it happen! It is such a good feeling when the day winds down to take… Continue

I just got back from a very fast trip to Singapore, with a one day stopover in Bangkok. I have to say that Bangkok is absolutely one of my favorite places in the world! Amazing food, incredible massages and the nicest people in the world!
One of our favorite massage parlors in Bangkok, is Lek Foot Massage,
. They are located right across from the Novotel Hotel and Siam Paragon Shopping Center. I discovered this place a few years… Continue

Although I am still in beautiful Singapore with my Daughter “the Gymnast” and “My Rock”, I thought I should communicate with you prior to my return.
First, Singapore is beautiful and we are having an amazing time. I am so blessed that I can travel and take my children with me. We have decided that we will take each child on their own trip– so this was Gymnasts trip. My other two children also had their “on their own trips” It is a whole other world… Continue

I'm always looking for that place I can go to feel supported, cared for and happy. Who doesn't want that? But I work from home. I live in a town that is not very accepting of outsiders. I've only lived in KY for 4 years. I don't know many people and don't have a lot of friends here. I have friends back in my home state of California, but they are very far away and very busy.
So I thought I'd take up a quest to find a group of supportive friends online. Thinking about what kind of… Continue

When someone does something for you so amazing, how do you say thank you? How can you possibly use two words that have become so over used in today's society, when it means so much more than just a simple thank you.
I am very grateful for the friendships that I have in life. Only because I don't honestly have that many. I have people who I talk to and would go have supper with now and then, but true friendships, I can literally count on the… Continue

I have been on a great mission to find unique bloggers to review and help their readers find my book. I have been receiving tons of emails and I have been following all the bloggers I meet on Twitter. Wow! Moms with blogs and Dads too, are amazing. They have such a voice. Not only with their kids, but with other Moms, Dads and anyone else they want to reach.
I have decided every blogger is my friend. And as friends, I hope to add to the blogosphere. I am embracing all aspects of it,… Continue
