Hungry eyes

She wants to see things.

Her hungry eyes look around searching for life.

She wants to see the world she has never seen before;

the hands she will shake;

the sea she wil swim in;

the ice creams she will eat and will make her clothes dirty;

the dogs she will cuddle.

She wants to see the countries…

Nauticaus w/ Lighting Bolt Man & Inspector Gadget aka my boys

The Naticaus, based out of Norfolk, Va.They retired the USS Wisconsin, and turned her into a 3story museum. Ranging from Ocean life, History of Jamestown to Naval History. We had such a wonderful time at the Nauticaus, in semi costume at that. Vacation = Relaxation?

Vacation = Relaxation?  I'm not so sure.  We have been home from vacation for 5 days, and I still don't feel "caught up".  I am really tired, still haven't put all of our laundry away, and haven't fixed my hair since we returned home.  I am however, soooo happy to be home!  It is always nice to get away, but by the end of vacation, I am always excited to return to the comfort of my own home, and ready to eat home cooked meals.  This year, we headed to Myrtle Beach for a week.  We had an…

Because Kids Can Be Crabby

 As my kids grow older, I'm becoming a sucker for anything that measures how little they are at this stage in their lives.  I love crafts that use their finger or handprints, like here and here.  I have their infant footprints framed in my bedroom.  I imagine that twenty years from now I will cherish all things that…

How We Roll

Although spring officially sprung a while ago, we still get flurries that accumulate on top of our mud and melting snow.  Overall, it's still a fairly wintery world out there in Vermont, although the temperatures are rising.  It's been warm enough to bring our kids outside, but there's nowhere to bring them!  Anywhere that is plowed is a parking lot or other potential hazard.  Anywhere that isn't knee-deep in snow is ankle-deep in mud.  But the sun is smiling its yellowy…

It Took Having Kids to Realize What I'm Truly Passionate About...

When I was little, I thought that I wanted to grow up to be a doctor.  I went on to university thinking just that.  But, like many things in life, things change.  For me they did, big time.  I got married, and had a baby...and then three more.  I kept up with school for the first few years of marriage and parenthood, but after six years and four kids later my entire pursuit in life changed.  The whole idea that being successful…
