10 Similarities Between Childbirth and Ice Skating with a Preschooler

A few months ago, I started taking my kids to the ice skating rink to watch the hockey players and figure skaters.  Ever since we've been going to the ice rink as spectators, my son has been asking when he

as a special day out with Mom.

So, we got all bundled up and were really excited to go.  My husband and my little guy came to watch too.  Then, as…

Choosing to play tag with a group of friends, swing from the monkey bars, or even kick around a soccer ball is all part of a healthy lifestyle that may lead to a lifetime of exercising! Studies show that young children who are encouraged to participate in such activities in their early years are more likely to continue those healthy habits into adulthood.

To prevent a decrease in a child’s activity level, encourage… Continue

My son, whom I affectionately call Mr. A, recently grew out of his car seat...but he just doesn't seem to want to let it go. Check out how he's showing us that the seat can still work for him.

Giddy up! The stirrup jean is back!

I went to the mall today….my three year old was at preschool so I’ve started to squeeze in some retail therapy with my infant. Anywho, I went into the Gap this afternoon and saw something that I wish I hadn’t…stirrup legging jeans. Yes! For real. Look, I found them online too! Yuck.

Hello, my name is Megan and I am a facebook addict

Yes, its come to that...a full fledged addiction to facebook. I've been finding more and more that I'd rather go online and check out my friend's status updates rather than catch up on the latest episode of The Real Housewives of Goodness Knows Where.....I watch all of them -- the series may be my second addiction.

But really, I'd rather go on facebook…

Traveling to Germany with a Little Boy (and Breastfeeding in Public)

The second day of our visit to my girlfriend’s farm we spent at the local pool. For such a small town in the country, they have a very sophisticated pool with tons of water features, and the boys were in and out of the water for four hours. Since I didn’t have a bathing suite and had just burned my skin to a crisp on Nantucket, I was in no mood to swim, so Karen “swam” with the boys and I took… Continue

How do you get a pre-school girl to sit still?

http://youthinkyoucanblog.wordpress.com/2010/07/26/how-do-you-get-a-pre-school-girl-to-sit-still/
