The NHS has been facing ever-increasing pressures in recent years, with slashed budgets, staff shortages and lack of resources taking its toll on the quality of care. One of the many ways we commonly see the impact of these pressures is in waiting times for GP…

My son likes puns.
I partially blame this on my wonderful husband who also likes puns. He can't help it. A childhood filled with watching The Muppet Show taught him to appreciate a well turned phrase and the results are that I often get to hear the…

This one had me laughing. Because we are creatures who do this. We want something, and sometimes, it's not properly defined, but we know we want it. And in our minds, that's all that counts!…

I am a mom of 2 kids. Despite being a cool mom (yes, I am) I faced a few challenges as a new mother.I found most of new mothers go through these funny experiences.
1. Why Does my baby cry?
The babies love to cry, why? They cant talk and they dont have much to do. So many times, even if they are not hungry, no call of nature, no health issue, literally no reason to cry, They will cry.
A new concerned mother scratches her head several times a day wondering,…

Our favorite sassy, smart-assy Southern duo are back with aRemington Snap Braid review. Well, sort of. The copious amount of champagne consumed may have clouded their judgment. (and beware of some f-bomb language.)

Did your hospital or midwife allow eating during labor? Most of us MomCavers weren’t allowed to eat once we arrived at the hospital. The reasoning behind this (barbaric, in our opinion) practice is that in an emergency, general anesthesia may be used and any food eaten could aspirate into the lungs. While this may be a concern in very rare cases, most laboring moms are doing the most physically demanding work of their lives and could use some sustenance.
Last fall,…

Dear Parents I Used to Nanny For,
Twenty years, twenty pounds, and a marriage and two kids ago, I was your nanny. And I judged you. My parenting standards were based on unrealistic expectations. I knew nothing of the shit storm that is parenting. While I made bewildered mental notes about the state of your home, the behavior of your children, and your fashion choices, you were keeping actual human beings alive. I apologize.
I have seen the light. And so has Anna Lane, who…
