Bunk Beds Are A Great Way To Utilize Limited Bedroom Space

Is your family growing?  Do you have a limited amount of space or bedrooms in your house?  Bunk beds are a great way to utilize bedroom space and allow your children to sleep in their own space.  When my children were younger, they had to share a bedroom due to a limited amount bedrooms in the house that I was living in and at the time we weren’t in a position to move into a new home.  Bunk beds allowed me to maximize the space that we had so that each of my children were able to sleep…

Learn How to Keep Your Toddler’s Artwork off of the Walls and Furniture

A few weeks ago, my husband asked me if I needed anything from the store.  I asked him if he would pick up my youngest son a coloring book because he kept grabbing my pen from me when I wasn’t watching and kept telling me that he wanted to draw.  I took the pen away from him and he was devastated, even though…

&*@# Ikea . . .

I've always had a love/hate relationship with Ikea, the build-it-yourself furniture superstore. One the one hand, even before the recession I appreciated a bargain, and I like to think that even if I had $5,000 to spend on an end table, I wouldn't be so wasteful. Walking through Ikea's beautiful but maze-like showroom and seeing the ridiculously low prices gives me the same high I got the first time I went to Loehmann's (back in the day when it was a real outlet with real discounts; heck, I… Continue

What Shape is YOUR Bed?

Mom and Dad are in town this weekend to visit and sort things out with their new house. We (Mom, Dad, Casey, Jonathan and I) went furniture shopping this morning, which was unsuccessful as Mom has not figured out in what style she wants to do the new house. I vote for more hanging toucan rugs and seashell couches. Hehehe, sorry Mom.

This evening we ordered Chinese food. Jessica and Damon came over and we all ate on the floor at the new house. It was a little bit of a cluster,… Continue
