So as we approach the fall season (even though its the middle of August), my husband longs for that crisp fresh air.....longs for football season. Longs for the big game....cheering on his team....going over stats....setting up his teams....longs for the smack talk....longs for those touch downs and end zone celebrations....while he remembers his youth in Pop Warner… Continue

The weather’s heating up here in Southern California. We’re fortunate to live just a mere 20-minute drive above the valley below because temperatures easily pass 100 degrees daily in the summer. As you climb the mountain, you literally watch the temperature gauge in the car drop degree by degree, till you arrive at home. A decent 15-20 degrees cooler simply because we’re at 5,000 feet.
But it still gets hot up here in the mountains.
And the hot weather… Continue

After we moved to the country, Colby spent an entire year driving Bunny to her preschool in our old neighborhood. On an average day, the commute was 45 minutes…on a bad day, well over an hour. Bunny hated the commute. For 1-½ hours five days a week she had to sit in the backseat of her Daddy’s car or truck, listening to CNBC and him… Continue

I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend. We had all the kids again this weekend. Hubby and bubba stayed over night at hubby’s parent’s house to go fishing, shoot guns, play video games, and just have fun. Hubby has a much younger brother, so bubba and him are only 4 years apart and love to play Call of Duty (same thing at our house). I play too at home, but I’m not very good. I don’t even… Continue

Research shows that participation in musical games has many positive effects on kids.
When kids sing, they organize vowels and consonants in a rhythmic pattern which helps to build language and vocabulary skills.
Musical games also help to develop kids' fine and gross motor skills, resulting in better coordination. Putting movement and music together uses both sides of the brain.
Of course there's other reasons to introduce music into your kids' lives: It's just… Continue

This Winter season has been unusually cold and has caused many at home or snow days with the children. When you are parents of multiples, it can seem like a very long day that never ends--basically GroundHog Day on repeat. The first day seems wonderful--snuggling underneath the blankets and watching a favorite family movie. By the third day, you are totally sick of the hearing the Elmo's World theme song and you really don't care if the kids have drawn on all the walls in the house with… Continue

has teamed with Children’s National Medical Center in Washington DC to bring ill little girls some “pink” this holiday season. We are collecting and distributing pink (we’ll take other colors too!) items such as toys, electronics, books, games, and clothing to girls ages 0-18 who will be spending the holidays in the hospital. It’s our way of helping to spread the “girl-power” and love that all girls – healthy and suffering… Continue

Todays blog isn't something profound but it is definately something that could be of interest to anyone. I thought I would take a moment, again, to share with others these websites and my opinions on them. Let me know what you think?
There are sites out there that do something similar to this already, however, I like how clean, to the point, easy to follow this site is. It offers a little bit of… Continue
