How to Create an Effective Action Plan

You may hear me talking about ways to achieve anything you want in your life. This post can help you write an effective action plan for your business, personal life, and even a hobby!

But first you must know what it is you want. Now don't get overwhelmed, you can just focus on 3 elements: Mind, Body, and Soul and then add on more elements like relationships, finances, etc to figure out what you want. This process doesn't have to happen overnight and as you evolve and…

Best Phones Available Right Now

I'm pretty sure the last time I went to the store, there were about 10 new phones that I'd never seen before. I also expect that the next time I go into that store, I'll see 10 more new phones.

My point is that it seems like there is a new cell phone model out every day. But there are, in my estimation, a few that stand above the rest. So why not? Here they are:

1) Samsung Galaxy S III - This is the best Android phone on the market. It's easy to use, has a large…

Blogs... A Love/Hate Relationship

The plethora of information you can find on the internet is nothing short of amazing. I find myself using the internet for researching, shopping or simply just having fun viewing websites that peak my interest. Long gone are the days of the World Book Encyclopedia and other print publications I remember using for my school book reports. The library in our town doesn’t even carry half the books I am looking for because the amount of visitors they used to get have dwindled as have the number…

Ignored the News About Internet Preferences?

I have.

I opened an email from Moveon.org a few weeks ago and thought, "Jeanine, you have fifteen minutes. It'll come back if it needs your attention." And I promptly clicked "delete" and the email vanished. Honestly, I didn't think about it again.

That is, until I was driving home from "town" the other week. I had the local community radio station on while the girls were playing some screaming, poking game in the backseat. Alas, adult conversation is so incredibly tantalizing… Continue

Dropping Google Friend Connect and Facebook Like Box

I'm finally doing it!

I'm letting bloody go!

Goodbye GFC, I'll miss you so.

Goodbye Facebook Like Box,

I wish I didn't have to let you go.

No longer shall I be shackled to my desk,

waiting and watching,

watching and waiting for your numbers to rise.

No longer shall I move your widget around my site,

searching for the best placement for visiting eyes.

I am now free,

free as a stallion that's been let loose into a…

Blogger to Wordpress Move Guide (Part 1 of 2)

The Blogger to Wordpress (self hosted) move is a bloody scary leap. When I began considering moving my blog, I did what we all do, I Googled it. I also checked the Blog Frog Communities. Nothing worked for me though. Nothing quite fit.

As promised months ago, I'm going to write my own guide. As a matter of fact, this is it. Or at least part one. Part two should be available…

July Updates

It has been a rather roller coaster month for me.

My younger boy has just started playgroup classes and is adapting fine to the changes. I'm very proud of him. After two weeks in school he doesn't cry now when we drop him of and pick him up. He is also socialising well with the teachers and fellow classmates.

The best thing is that he is eating much more and less fussy about what we feed him :) It is great as it has been a real torture each mealtime to get him to finish his… Continue
