Finding Coupons

I have struggled for almost a year on getting all the coupons that Sunday Coupon Preview says we should get in our weekly papers.  At the beginning of 2012, I decided no more!  I started ordering whole inserts from Insert Insanity.  They are located in Florida.  Some of the coupons are specifically for the area (like coupons for Goody’s asprin and store coupons that are regional), but those are like 2 pages of coupons from the bulk of them…

Smart SourceXpress - A New Generation of Coupon Clipping

Although this might not sound very succulent, I was once an avid coupon clipper. But, quite frankly, I got tired of having coupons pile up at the bottom of my purse and getting all ripped and soiled and the whole thing just became too much of a hassle.

Now, before you mention that there are accessories to organize coupons, you should know that I also had a coupon folder to help organize but when I changed purses, it did not always find its way into the one I was using. By the time the…

It's an inevitability that every parent has to experience. A rite of passage, the "supermarket shakedown" is one that indeed shakes your maternal/paternal resolve to the core. This unique meltdown of sorts is atypical in that it is usually precipitated by the perpetrator's viewing of candy-coated confections, promptly followed by an unequivocal "No!" http://bit.ly/pp9UhB

Am I raising children or hungry wolves?

I grew up in a big family, and it was rare that my mom splurged on those yummy, high-priced treats like Oreos or Little Debbie snack cakes. But when she did buy them, she'd always issue a warning as she took them out of the bag - a sentence that puzzled me for years:

"I swear, I'm not going to buy these again if you're just going to eat them," she'd tell us as we hovered around her eagerly.

Cramming Oreos into my mouth, I'd just shrug. What does that even mean? My mom…

Grocery Shopping with a Plan

Grocery shopping can be a chore and incredibly frustrating if you go unprepared. I can't tell you how many times I have run into the grocery store without a list, only to have to go back a day or two later to pick up the items I've missed or left the coupons I intended to use at home. One Big Turkey, Eight Guests and a Busy Mom Equals.....

MrTurkey-icon It is nice when the seasons change and your mind begins to be focused on things other than back to school or Halloween costumes. I enjoy when the calendar flips and the days countdown to Thanksgiving Day. For me, I have mixed feelings about Thanksgiving, I have spent many holidays in bare, cold hotel rooms alone and missing my family. That part really stunk, but that was the breaks with a job that didn’t care that… Continue
