Nursery Gliders aren't Just for the Nursery!

Had you told me there was a possibility that I could have moved my nursery glider to another room in my home, I would have gotten a completely different fabric....completely different style.....most likely a completely different chair all-together.  Oh, and I forgot about my husband.  I probably would have picked one that fit him, too.  Considering the fact that I'm 5-feet tall and he is 6-foot 3 inches, we would have had to look all over the place, right?

If we were having another…

Japenese Tips for Tidying Up

I've spent the last week cleaning and clearing out things from both my home and my storage.  Inspired by a book I read about "tidying up" and how we cling to things we don't need for reasons hard to explain, but possible to overcome, I set out to create a home environment in which I wasn't constantly having to clean clutter every single day.

The book is a…

Paint an Inspiring Home

Nowadays, a lot of people are suffering from stress. It is indeed a serious condition often associated with high-blood pressure (and we all know why that is bad), headaches, and fertility problems on the long run. Well, what can I say? God has decided that stress is no good for a baby and won't allow us to have one, unless we minimize the stress in our lives. For this reason, I am here to give you an idea where to start from.…

Being broke can be a blessing.

I used to make a lot of money, though  I didn't realize it at the time. That 20/20 hindsight can really burn some days.   I was doing really well for myself and for my family financially, but  I wasn't happy. I wasn't in love with my job anymore, and I tried to compensate by spending the money I was making. Writing at Starbucks, yoga, the gym, spas, masks, and spoiling my family.  When we found out we were expecting another little one, I decided I needed to make a change. I know…

An Overview on Top Waxing At Home Products

Waxing, just like tweezing, can hurt. However, the pain usually comes with the strips and not due to removal of individual hairs. The waxing process is better than hair remover gels or creams because they don’t have unwanted smell. Also, waxing doesn’t give you nasty red rashes. The bikini line as well as the legs isn’t left with cuts and nicks, unlike the aftermath of shaving. Over-the-counter waxes include paraffin and beeswax and they come in containers which can be heated easily. You can…

Creating an exit strategy

My son wants to live with the firefighters. He has told me numerous times about his plans to live at the fire station and be in charge of fixing the trucks with special tools. He told me he doesn't want to fight the fires, but he does want to be able to slide down the pole.…

Home Sweet (Organized) Home

Last year when we decided I would leave work and stay home to care for my mom and kids, one thing became immediately apparent…

Order was needed.

Some kind of system to find stuff and put stuff where stuff belonged after stuff was being looked for and stuff was not found. Another thing also became achingly apparent… we had a lot of… shi.. I mean, stuff!

There were homework supplies on the kitchen table. Fast food (yeah, yeah, we go there!) toys in the…

Why #ichoose Scentsy

Before I joined Scentsy I was struggling working 2 jobs and practically homeless. After some mis-communication over parking tickets my husband and I decided to work on our marriage. Families interrupted by work

As soon as I got pregnant, two things started happening right away:

  1. Other mothers started telling me pregnancy- and child-related horror stories. (Seriously, why do women do this?)
  2. I was treated a little differently at…
