I hope that all of you had a wonderful Christmas. It was a great day that I  was able to spend with my 3 favorite guys (husband, and 2 sons). The 24th on the other hand was a little rough to say the least. Here’s why. On the 23rd, I had to have a dental procedure on one of my front teeth. Trauma: How Derek Got Hit By A Car

It was a red minivan, actually.  We had just pulled into the driveway from picking Troy up from preschool.  There were several neighbor kids walking home from school across the street.  As all four of my kids and the two pups spilled out of our car, a couple of the kids asked if they could see the puppies.  Jason and I walked across the street with the pups.  I looked back towards the house and Derek and Troy had climbed the tree at the end of the driveway.  Everyone seemed so safe.…

Hell Hath No Birthday Quite Like This One

Today is my birthday. I have reached the ripe (but not spoiling) middle age of 47. I am proud to be 47 today. I am in a good place in my life. I have two wonderful, yet challenging children. I think the challenging aspects of parenthood keep me young. I have a husband that adores me, and the feeling is mutual. I have great friends and family…and I don’t look 47. I think that is the best part of all!
