You Never Know

A wise person one told me just do it, you never know what will come of it.

I heard those words as a young person, and they stuck.

Yes, we should make the most out of every situation and try and look to the bright side, but I'm talking about looking at more than just one side of the thing you are doing.…

A Plan And A Purpose: What's Yours? A Child With Dwarfism Inspires Others

Soon after Samuel was born, I remember seeing a friend’s baby at the mall. I leaned over to get a closer look at the little girl. She was sleeping soundly in the stroller.

I marveled not at the color of her hair or her cute outfit but at how long her arms and legs were and how her breathing was calm and in perfect rhythm.  I was comparing her to Samuel whose chest could be clearly seen rising and falling and occasionally out of sync. This was one of the first signs my journey would be…

Why this mommy needs her daddy

One of the greatest gifts my parents ever gave me was a divorce. Don't get me wrong; I honor, respect and believe in the sanctity of marriage. But my parents' relationship was not working out for them and had the potential to taint my relationship with my Dad. My parents divorced in 1983. I was just two years…

What Inspires You – Find Your Inspiration

You-can-find-serenity- <a href= www.janeanesworld.com" width="650" height="710">

You can find serenity by discovering what inspires you. Inspiration is often defined as the process of being mentally stimulated to do something or to feel something. Inspiration is often thought of in relation to something creative. When I think of inspiration, I think of something that gives a little push to someone to get them to take a leap. It is important to find out what…

The sweetest moments are the simplest ones

It's like one of those delicious candy bars you get at the local candy shop- so simple, so pure, yet full of delight. Oftentimes in life we opt for the fancy, even eccentric things, much like a manufactured candy bar you can mindlessly pick up at any convenience store, to get a quick fix of happiness and pleasure.…

Genius

Sunday morning, drinking tea and watching CNN. They are talking about the future. A very interesting and encouraging perspective was presented. Computers will be way smarter and faster at processing information than humans. Supposed to be a good thing. Then they were talking about the nature of genius. They point out that most if not all “Genius Moments” in history came about because people were working together, sharing ideas when someone came up with the “Ah,Ha!”

Being, gasp, 64,… Continue

Please Brand Me Now!!!

Branding.

Argh.  Sooo challenging...and so permanent.  It needs to be just right.

Identifying your "brand" is kind of like going to college, where the goal is trying to figure out what you want to do with the rest of your life.  But at eighteen, who really knows THAT?

You have to pick a major but what are the odds that in a few years you'll even be interested in pursuing a career in the field?  Your scope of interests expands, you identify and refine your skill sets, you…
