As if the thought of your teen driving wasn't scary enough

I was in my late teens when I started driving.

And I have never thought about this before now, but I saved my mother a large amount of money by not getting my license sooner. I didn't know this, but the average married couple's car insurance rate…

NOW is Your Time

Now is Your Time My husband and I have been doing a lot of research lately on life insurance. We know it is something important to have, especially now that we have a baby. If anything were to happen to either of us, we want to make sure that our sweet baby is taken care of. A woman came into our home the other day to talk about our medical history and to do a medical exam on us. As we were filling out the paper work, I realized something. Rewind eight years ago. My husband (boyfriend at the…

Things I've Learned This Week

** It's really difficult to do pushups when the dog's trying to hump you.

Highway Robbery...I Mean Health Insurance

Just got off the phone with my health insurance provider. Trying to get them to pay *their share* of the homebirth. You know, the one I discussed with them a year ago. The one they agreed to pay 80% of. Well,

let’s just say I’m having trouble calling them a “provider.” They cut a check for less than 40% of the homebirth.

Can you imagine if your partner “provided” for you like insurance companies manage to?

You give a whole lot of what you have to…

Corn on the Cob Anyone?

Hubby sliced his thumb open last night prepping ears of corn to throw on the grill. He cut it at an angle from the top down through the middle of his thumb nail.

He called me after he did it and I was still 45 minutes from getting home after picking up both the kids. He’s so hard headed, I knew he was going to resist going to the emergency room – which is why he now has a deep Harry Potter style scar dead square between his eyes after refusing to get stitches from busting it…
