Love Work for the Adult Interaction

Human beings are inherently social beings. For the most part we enjoy being around people, talking with them, watching them, sharing ideas and experiences with them. Among other things, work gives us the opportunity for adult interaction.

Happy Mother's Day by Silverbird Family

www.HappyMothersDayIsEveryday.com is a youtube video that can be given to any mom. The message says, "I love you mommy" from any child.

People would not exist if it were not for Mother. Even I did not understand why my Mother made such a fuss over me when I was child, but now that I have children of my own, I certainly understand what my Mother went through with me.

This is a wonderful fun calypso reggae style song and once…

Our Valentine's Day... From my iPhone

http://www.thepiggytoes.com/2013/02/15/valentines-day-from-my-iphone/

Valentine’s Day is by far one of my favorite ‘holidays’ but I’m honestly not sure why.  It could be because of all the $1 crap I get our 2 little boys that excites them beyond words.  Or maybe it’s the excessive eating of chocolate all day that makes my tummy happy.  Or maybe it’s that I get to turn everything…

Fall in Love with Work - It Makes Home Possible

It is fantastic to love work because it makes good things at home possible.
For many people going to work is a chore, something they do because they must, something they hate. As a result, these people start the day with a bad attitude toward work and continue with a bad attitude throughout the day. Imagine what would happen if instead those people started the day with a good attitude and continued it throughout the day. Instead of hating work and dreading the approach of each…

Fall in Love with Your Job Because Paychecks are Nice

Each workday, people all over America wake up, shower, dress and go off to work. Many of those people are not happy about having to go to work each day. Some of them even curse the fact that they must go to work. I am proposing that instead of hate, those people start looking at their jobs with a loving attitude.  Think about it. When a person is in love, the person is kind, considerate and speaks with a kind voice. When a person is in love, she does not insult the object of her love. A…

Finding the Right Kind of Replacement

Ever since my autistic son's Orange Tabby Cat (named Orange) went missing three years ago, we have never stopped searching. We went to the shelter the other day think we had finally found him, but alas it was not him. We did see a lot of orange cats that looked a lot like the one that went missing ( we still suspect fowl play from the shady neighbor we had been living across the street from). I think my…

How To Show Your Love As A Mother Figure

Do you know the impact that you have on the children in your life?

Today is a day of blessings and thankfulness. I get to spend Mother's Day with my very own mother and my fabulous kids, as well as my hubby. As I observe my little family and notice all that I am thankful for, I can't help but think about the many people who walk into my office and lack their own mother to celebrate with.

Yes, we are all born to a "mom." However, there are some…

Our Next Leg - Weeks 12-15

It's been some time since I've written and that's been for several reasons.  Firstly, Dylan had several set backs the past few weeks.  She had seizures, then an asthma attack that put her back on the vent, then two infections in her trach tube and finally, her spasticity has gotten progressively worse each week.  I was emotionally drained a bit more each week and got to my lowest point during Week 13 where I just wasn't sure if I would be able to take anymore setbacks.  But as usual, God was…

Why I Love Being A Mom

I used to think that being a mom was easy, that is, until I became one.

Growing up, I witnessed how my own mother balanced her life as a wife, a careerwoman, her community service and her 7 children!  I appreciated how she did her job as a mom so well that…
