As women we have laws that protect us just like our male counterparts and the liberty to shape our own destiny. We also have what most people in the world don’t have, hope.

For years I have been buying expensive organic or natural products for our bodies and home, and it's been a frustrating process. I'm frustrated that there are HARMFUL products allowed to be sold in this country, I'm frustrated the ones that aren't are often more than I can afford. And until recently, I was frustrated with myself for not having enough time to make my own. I assumed it was very time consuming and as a working mom there was no way I could add one more thing to my to…Continue

Summer officially started 17 days ago and 15 of them have been rainy ones here in NW Ohio. Our grass has never looked greener and our garden is flourishing however the kiddos are a tad disappointed at the lack of pool days. I am not sure when all this rain is going to let up. I decided that I need to do something. My first thought was build an Ark but that seemed too tedious a task. My second was to collate fun rainy day activities to do with kiddos. Here’s hoping my focus is on the…Continue

Do you and your family enjoy spending time outdoors during the evening hours? When it is nice outside, I love letting my children play outside in the backyard while I watch them. Today my youngest got to spend the day with me, he started running a low grade fever last night and acted like he didn’t feel very good. I decided that is was best to keep him home from daycare so that he could get some extra rest while I monitored his fever. It was nice being able to spend some one on one time with my baby. We enjoyed the extra snuggles and cuddles, we watched a few of his favorite shows on TV, and spent some time …Continue

I wanted to make my Sister-in-Law a diaper cake for her baby shower. I didn’t want to make a traditional diaper cake. I got an idea that I saw on Pinterest and decided to try and make her a diaper cake motorcycle. Since she is having a little boy, I thought it would be perfect. I took my daughter with me to the…Continue

I love that our little family now has a few traditions throughout the year and this is one of them! Monkey Bread. I only make it one time a year; on Christmas morning and this year I am especially excited for it (probably bc I’m pregnant and have been craaaaving it since December 1st!)
Monkey Bread is prepared on Christmas Eve and left sitting out on the counter until morning. Then, all you have to do when you wake is pop it in the oven, set a timer, and voila! 20 minutes…Continue

The “Back to Sleep” campaign was introduced in the early 1990′s to help prevent babies from SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome). When a baby is born their heads are still soft and their skull will slowly harden over the next few months. However, laying your baby in the same position all the time places gentle pressure on the back of the skull, causing it to slowly change shape. Read the full post at …Continue
