The feeling of breaking up with someone can hardly be described by using some simple words. At the end of each day, there is always that annoying question: how do you really feel? Is this huge change something that scares you most? Can you take care of everything by your own or do need the help of the experts?
On the other hand, despite all the suffering and pain of losing someone that you used to share your home and life with, there is also a thing that you should bear in mind: how…Continue

Are you a mom who wishes she had more mom friends? I was too, until I found mom.life – an app just for moms. I was feeling pretty lonely as my husband works long, tiring hours about an hour away. I was pregnant when I first found this app. It used to be known as Preggie, but with a new app design came a new name - and so was born Mom.Life.
I really had nobody to really talk to as a mom. I didn’t…Continue

Giving birth, whether naturally or by C-section, takes a toll on a woman’s body and sometimes her mind. Having to go back to work within weeks or 3 months of giving birth does not allow a family the time to adapt and bond with their new addition. Unfortunately, in the United States returning to work within 3 months of having a child is the norm and for most families a must. Other families run into the hard situation where both parent’s need to work to support the family, but child care costs…Continue

For once, our freezer is stocked. I still feel like it's not enough, but I have no room for anymore stuff, so I guess it will have to do! I've been making a few extra meals each week for the last few weeks to stock up on meals for when the baby comes. I've learned that anytime I make a casserole, to just make two of them and freeze the other one. It really doesn't take anymore time and saves me from cooking a meal on another day. It's so handy that I will continue to do it from now on to…Continue

In the blogging world matters of money are all so very hush hush. I decided it was time for someone to come forward and share what they were earning and how they went about earning money from their blog.
I believe that if we really want to help each other we should become more transparent and give people realistic expectations of what blogging entails and that with a little hard work you can actually make…Continue

Before I joined Scentsy I was struggling working 2 jobs and practically homeless. After some mis-communication over parking tickets my husband and I decided to work on our marriage. One of the things I made clear was that I wanted to be independent and continue to work from home, but also make money from home. The kids were in daycare and my…Continue

Those of us who live in North America and Western Europe are truly blessed. We have so many things to help us get through the day that they practically get unnoticed, such as plumbing, hot water, showers and for most, at least two decent size meals a day.
As women we have laws that protect us just like our male counterparts and the liberty to shape our own destiny. We also have what most people in the world don’t have, hope.
This four letter word has been used so much in our…Continue

Summer officially started 17 days ago and 15 of them have been rainy ones here in NW Ohio. Our grass has never looked greener and our garden is flourishing however the kiddos are a tad disappointed at the lack of pool days. I am not sure when all this rain is going to let up. I decided that I need to do something. My first thought was build an Ark but that seemed too tedious a task. My second was to collate fun rainy day activities to do with kiddos. Here’s hoping my focus is on the…Continue

Do you and your family enjoy spending time outdoors during the evening hours? When it is nice outside, I love letting my children play outside in the backyard while I watch them. I always notice that as soon as I sit down outside it never fails the mosquitoes, other flying insects, or even ticks seem to sense that you are outside and decided to join…Continue

Determining when you plan on taking maternity leave can be an overwhelming process since you don’t know the exact date of your baby’s arrival. However, it is very important that you find out what your rights and benefits are early in your pregnancy. Today my youngest got to spend the day with me, he started running a low grade fever last night and acted like he didn’t feel very good. I decided that is was best to keep him home from daycare so that he could get some extra rest while I monitored his fever. It was nice being able to spend some one on one time with my baby. We enjoyed the extra snuggles and cuddles, we watched a few of his favorite shows on TV, and spent some time …Continue
