Baby Showers: The Next Big Thing

Like so many modern celebrations, Baby Showers have arrived in the UK from North America. It’s a real tradition over there and, like High School Proms, Halloween and Black Friday, one of those exciting social events that is catching on big time over here.

The idea is simple but universally appealing. Throw a party for the pregnant mother and her…

Monetizing Your Mom Blog is Easier Than Ever With Media.net

Some are wooing bloggers with the prospect of lucrative affiliate deals while others pile influencers with products for reviews, added with a monetary benefit. Some companies are flying…

Mom Meltdown

It’s 4:20am and I just walked my Husband to his car.  As he starts the car to leave to catch his vanpool, I start crying.  “I can’t lose my baby!”  No, I’m not pregnant…I’m referring to my 17-year-old Daughter.  She is a Junior in High School, and this…

The Reasons Behind Toddler Meltdowns

We've all been there…doing anything you can to make your kiddo happy when they’re in a ‘mood’. In our house, we find all sorts of ridiculous things to distract our girl from what she’s really upset about…nothing. Yep, that’s the reason behind most meltdowns- nothing. Oh, and these meltdowns? The ‘tude goes from ‘happy go lucky’ to ‘here’s my evil twin’ in less than a couple seconds. FUN. You've seen this…

The Apocalyptic Morning Meltdown

It's never ever easy to be a parent, but man, some days are just harder than others, aren't they?  And when you're dealing with an overtired child, you're pretty much fighting an unbeatable battle, like a kitten trying to hold its own against a wolverine.  Yep, this is exactly how my week began yesterday (as if Mondays weren't bad enough already!)

It had been…

Sick Husband = Big Baby

I don't know how it is in your household, but in mine, there's a WORLD of difference between when I get sick and when my husband gets sick.  We're talking night and day contrast, people.  You see, he turns into a 39 year-old baby when he's under the weather, whereas I must continue with life as normal, sniffles and aches, be damned!

It was just last week when my other…

Meltdown at the (no, it's not) OK corral

The other night I narrowly escaped a meltdown myself. After Mr Green recovered from a ghastly gastric bug that forced us to cancel dinner plans with friends, we decided to reconvene. The last few times we took LGO out to restaurants, he played the golden boy, charming the staff, amusing himself in between courses, and gobbling up whatever we put in front of him. We even managed to have coffees afterwards. Yes! we punched the air. At last we can go out and have Nice Meals as a Family.…
