Overcoming the pain of Miscarriage

I was pregnant for the First time. It was very early in our marriage and we were not quite prepared, yet like any first timer there was a gush of excitement running through me. About a Happy Scar

Meet my new scar. I’ve had it for less than a year, the result of a fall that occurred in January. Pulling closer my hand is my 3 month old. He was conceived last December. It feels to me like the scar and the baby were some sort of a strange package deal. This post discusses a struggle with fertility, a miscarriage and yes, you guessed it, a scar but it’s about a baby. Sari and Her Ray of Sunshine

There are certain people you come across in life who just always make you smile.  They are able to see the glass as half full and bring positivity wherever they go -- kinda like a ray of sunshine on an otherwise cloudy day.  You can't help but to admire and respect these people cause they make you want to be a better person yourself.

My friend, Sari, is one of these amazing people.  I am in constant awe of her optimism, courage and strength.  She somehow juggles three kids,…

A Different Kind of Remembrance Day

Last week on October 15th, many mamas were lighting candles in remembrance. That day has been designated as National Pregnancy Loss & Infant Loss Awareness Day.

I had a miscarriage soon after my first child was born. My loss was accompanied with some guilt too – finding out I was pregnant while having a newborn left me horrified. I quickly adjusted to the thought of my “Irish Twins” and was devastated when I miscarried. Then came the guilt – how could I have initially greeted… Continue
