10 THINGS I LEARNED AFTER A DAY WITHOUT MY PHONE

I woke up Sunday as if it were any other day, in a whirr of excitement to get ready for church. For some reason I’m just not a morning person, so I wake up with just enough time to shower, get little E ready after he eats and head out the door.

While waiting for church to start, I was talking with Trevor and his sister. She started talking about how her smart phone is so distracting. She’s constantly looking at it and was even thinking of switching to a flip phone.

Momma’s bedtime is a word that use to make me cringe. Even thinking about it being late at night just turns my mood sour. So many issues arise with it, kids not wanting to sleep, waking up too…

Happy Mother's Day by Silverbird Family

www.HappyMothersDayIsEveryday.com is a youtube video that can be given to any mom. The message says, "I love you mommy" from any child.

People would not exist if it were not for Mother. Even I did not understand why my Mother made such a fuss over me when I was child, but now that I have children of my own, I certainly understand what my Mother went through with me.

This is a wonderful fun calypso reggae style song and once…

Baby Led Weaning (BLW) Round 2 and 2.5ish

I like to say "round" instead of stage or trial, since we're in this for the long baby led weaning fight.  We'll be patient and we'll be diligent in our efforts.  I say "we" but it is really like a boxing match- it all depends on the other person (in this case: Bambina).  Even though I'm being a rebel by skipping all the purees and cereals, I am taking the usual 3-4 days in between introducing new foods in case there are any funky allergic-like reactions.

Update to "Battle Royale"

Let me update you on all the baby momma drama that’s going on in our lives at the moment. It’s relatively quiet after the last fiasco. She hasn’t pulled more shizit.

The latest court date was scheduled for last week, but a big case came through and bumped hubby’s case from the docket. Good thing the lawyer told us this before 6 a.m. that morning so I didn’t stay up until 11 p.m. the night before looking for hubby’s 2008 tax return paperwork – or not.

Battle Royale

Here’s my baby momma update (incase anyone was wondering). We did get our step-daughter last weekend as scheduled. Apparently she threw a fit before she went to school Friday wanting to come over, so her mom let her. This situation is so beyond ridiculous.

I Need to Punch Something

Ok, I’m pissy – I’ve talked to some friends and my husband, but I’m still pissy. So, if you do not like curse words – please DO NOT read on because there are a lot.

So, all this baby momma stuff I’ve been writing about just came to a head this week. This horrible pissy week.

A life-changing lesson brought to you by Mr. Bear

Mr. Bear I was outraged last night when I saw my 6-year old, J, punching Mr. Bear in the face. I felt physically sick and became more upset than he could possibly understand. .

I really wanted to tell him what that little yellow bear means to me. I'm not smart enough to describe on a 1st grade level how that stuffed animal continues to impact my life. However, we're all adults, right? So, I figured I'd just tell you, instead. .
