I’m aware of the fact that I dream every night, although I usually (and thankfully) forget the specifics. The subject matter has not improved with age. When I used to suffer nightmares about showing up at school naked, I now suffer nightmares about showing up at work naked. Must say, my post-breastfeeding boobs look pretty good. I still dream about running and not getting anywhere, falling out of the sky, and being trapped in a car underwater. This might be a cry for help, but mostly I think…Continue

I remember that afternoon at the office water cooler. Two of my co-workers were discussing their summer reading lists. I jumped in to the conversation by admitting I couldn’t remember the last time I had read a book and I was curious if they had any recommendations.
When I was growing up, if I didn’t have a Barbie in my hand, I had a book. Yes, I was that kid. It started with an encyclopedia…Continue

One of the absolute best moments of my entire life was the moment I saw my son for the first time. Of course it was! My entire life would never be the same.
But months before the birth of our son, an unexpected moment made me realize how my life was about to change.
I was 5 months pregnant before two tests confirmed our family would be growing. It wasn’t a dramatic I-Didn’t-Know-I-Was-Pregnant (on TLC) moment, just a surprise that I had a difficult time accepting. Babies…Continue

My son doesn’t have a Jack-in-the-box. Excuse me while I pause and breathe a sigh of relief.
But what does alarm me are the toys that play music, light up, or have some other battery operated function… especially at 3 am.
If you’re a mom it’s not hard to imagine that 3 am wake-up call from your child. You hear a small sound coming from the baby monitor and hope it doesn’t become a bigger more upset sound. But the moans and groans become a cry and you accept your fate (if you…Continue

I often get asked what the definition of a Mommy Master is. The answer actually lies within oneself since everyone has a different definition of what make them a successful parent. Let me start off by saying that no one is truly a Mommy Master every day of their life. Some days we succeed at motherhood and other days, not so much. There are times when we feel on top of the world because our kids ate all their vegetables, listened, napped and said please and thank you without prodding. …Continue

I'm realatively new to the blogging community and really want to connect to other moms. If you have time and have room for another friend, please add me to your blog roll! I love, like everybody else, comments and almost always leave them! It's what makes it all fun and worthwhile, to me.
So, please hop on over, let me know you were there and start a friendship!
I'm taking a little break to try to figure out what I'm doing, but here's one of my last recent posts.…Continue
It is so easy to get busy with life that many times we forget to take time for ourselves. Sometimes you reach the end of a week and wonder where did it all go? Or maybe you have come to the end of a weekend that was ment for relaxing only to find that you have been busy the entier time and are even more in need of a break than you were to start with.
There is no magical way to slow our days down, the only secret is to stop. Make yourself stop and rest. No one can do…Continue

I love blogging. I don't how I existed without it before. Its not only a hobby for me but a way to express myself in a way that I didn't before. I began blogging before I really knew I could make money with it. I mean I had heard you could but didn't really know how to do it or where to start. Most of the time you have the…Continue

When I started blogging 4 years ago I thought of my action of sharing family stories was solitary. I enjoyed writing about the silly things my little ones did and that was that. I was my own Erma Bombeck (if you're too young to know who I'm talking about Google her, she was fantastic). Then, I started to receive comments from... strangers. I was actually a little scared. My reaction didn't really make much sense since I was…Continue

My daughter turned 9 last week. This is the child who lives and breathes all things pink and all things Barbie.
As I decorated the house for her upcoming birthday party, she came up to me and announced that she had something very important to tell me. I stopped taping pink and purple balloons to the fireplace and sat down to listen to her. I looked into the serious brown eyes of my daughter as she announced that this would be her last single digit birthday. Single digit? Who…Continue

I’ve been noticing a very interesting trend on my site recently. It’s becoming really clear what moms are interested in ... and I’m so intrigued by it, that I wanted to share it with you!
I write a blog called the Mommy MindSpa and I post each day with different suggestions of fun things moms can do to help them focus on themselves. I call it the Daily Mom-ME Moment ... and in it I encourage moms to take time each day to do something for themselves - to always remember that they are…Continue

“Every day is a fresh beginning, Every morn is the world made new”
Today I am took my kids and my mom with me to visit the eFoods Global warehouse in Salt Lake City Utah. We need to see where the food is made! I think visiting the headquarters is important. (My kids groaned that it would be boring!) Even though I have already heard that eFoods is made carefully without hydrogenated oils and is of fine quality, I would like to see for…

So, here I am on the Mom Bloggers Club! Among my own kind finally! How fabulous is that? I would love to meet all the mom's and interview them on my show -- mom to mom! Sounds so fun! I hope you will consider it! In the meantime, here is a little news on me today. I was so excited to share my Power Mom Food Fund passion of feeding and funding families and it's so rare I get to see good news on myself that I am fairly brimming with excitement. I hope you don't mind if I share! Cheers…Continue

I don't know many women, unless they don't drink at all, that would argue with the fact that at the end of the day a nice glass of wine is like a big hug. Some women stay at home all day, and there is not a break to be had. No matter the age of your children, there is always something: the changing of diapers, clothes, feeding - whether it be…Continue
