Best Blinds for Families

Keeping a neat, tidy, and beautiful home can be a challenge when you have kids, but it can be done. You just have to be smart about how you decorate.

For example, leather furniture is much easier to clean than suede, and…

Eating After a Lip Lift

A lip lift is an operation that modifies the appearance of the lips to a more appealing one. It reshapes them to enhance the facial area above the lips. Most people who undergo this procedure usually have an elongated gap between their noses and lips and want to make the…

How Your Unsolicited Public Relations Role Can Have Negative Impact In Your Child’s Life

My son will be turning 7-years old in December. I am guilty of looking at him sometimes and only seeing my precious little toddler who needs his mother to hold his hand in everything he does. I cringe when he swings too high on the swing set, for fear of him falling. My heart beats a bit faster when he charges across the Monkey Bars, what if he misses a step? What if he scrapes his knee? What if he bumps his head?…

The Best Advice I Can Give To A New Single Mom: It's Not Going To Be Easy But It Doesn't Have To Be Hard From The Diaries Of A Super Single Mom

Mommy-hood sprung on you like flowers in the springtime, after the stork dropped a bundle of joy at your door and forgot to leave the dad. Devastating, but not the end of the world.

Here’s what you should know: Being single is not a disease. Being a single mom is not a handicap. To find yourself solely responsible for the health and well-being of a child can be…

He's Here! He's Here!

Sorry for my absence, but I've been buried in tiny diapers, toddler tantrums, and baby snuggles for the last week. Our little guy arrived last Tuesday morning at 9:31am and life has been whizzing by ever since!

0216161513a-1

This is Bowen James and he is 7lbs 1oz, and 20 1/2 inches long. I don't want to say he is the perfect baby, because I know it will bite me in the butt later, but he kind of is. He's the sleepiest, hungriest, cuddliest little babe and he is the perfect addition…

Join me for Sexy Mama Saturday's!

I decided to start a new series. Lets call it...sexy mama!! This series will be all about ways/tips/ideas to feel like your own person again. When we become mommy's we tend to forget about ourselves; but also as mommys, we put our babies and families before ourselves - so what about ways to feel like us again that don't take a lot of time? I think it…

It feels like the holiday season!

PUMPKIN PICTURES!..Growing up, my favorite part of the year was the holiday season! I love the feeling in the atmosphere, the smells, the food, the changing leaves - everything! But..like a lot of other things, that feeling kind of faded as I got older. It wasn't the same because all the kids in my family were adults now and it just felt different. One of the main things I looked forward to when… Continue

Welcome to Mommyhood, Mommy!

Baybee Luv

As most of you know, I am a full-time college student trying to get my business degree. I take some of the classes online to allow me to work and take care of my daughter. One of the joys annoyances of online classes is timed exams. Normally, this is not bad because quizzes are generally shorter tests. Final exams are a lot more intense and being that the class I had online this semester was a legal class, there was a lot to know and a… Continue

All Boy or Out of Control???

My son has been deemed, “all boy” by numerous good-natured Southern women here in Nashville. I’m not naive; I realize this is a nice way to say, “Your two-year old son is borderline out of control. Have you considered Adderall?”. Despite my hesitation to accept his “all boy” title, I am slowly coming to grips with my lot in motherhood. It’s true, I did not win the “good baby” or “sweet toddler” lottery, in fact, I didn’t even have one matching number.

This past weekend he…

Prom Shoes Switcheroo

My son Chris had his first prom the other night. 8th

grade prom
. Yeah.

They didn’t have that shit when I was in middle school! But hey, times are a changin’ right?

Wrong!

It’s just another way to get us parents to spend more money and compete with each other to see who buys the best, most expensive dress/tux, etc, etc. I mean the whole idea was that senior prom…

every mommy needs a white couch (really?)

I love white. White linens especially – white sheets, white towels, white cloth napkins… And I also like white t-shirts, white onsies for bub, white photo frames, white shoes, white beads... the list goes on.

I also love white couches! Click here to CONTINUE.…

Mommyhood Moment-You Need a Bigger Mom to Use the Racecar Grocery Cart

I have had fun comments about this blog entry. Here is the link Mommyhood Moment-You Need a Bigger Mom to Use the Racecar Grocery Cart

I have tried to use the racecar grocery cart. It is the most unyielding thing to try to push down the aisle of a store. JDaniel was placed in one at Home Depot once and ever since then he has pointed to them frantically as we enter the… Continue
