Natural hair, don’t care! I didn’t always feel that way though. In elementary school I begged my mom for a relaxer because I was tired of leaving home polished but coming back looking like a wolf. Any…Continue

I believe that my son is smart. I believe this because he gets good marks for reading and math and he seems to know a lot more things than I did when I was his age. I love that he has so many interests and that he likes to learn new information, but I wouldn't try to label him as "gifted."…Continue

Tile flooring is the preferred coverage for most people, no matter where in the world they are located. Tile flooring offers many kinds of options, which are just not available with the other floor types. There are many types of tile flooring, some of which are made from natural stones and some from artificial materials, but they all have their own appealing specifics, which makes us choose them for our homes. My husband and I had the Grievance meeting in February regarding the death of our twin daughter Aminah. We showed up at a church in Webster Grooves, Missouri. At first I was wondering why the meeting was being held in a church but I went ahead with it and met the midwife in…Continue

Standing in Aminah’s room the door slowly opened and a head peeked through. There
was a Blondie lady standing in between the door smiling asking permission to come in. As
I gave her permission to move forward, she stepped in and shut the large door behind her.
She introduced herself as the nurse photographer. She walked over to me with a camera
around her neck and a bright red folder. She pulled a chair for me to…

When you have kids it is very hard to find/take time for yourself. When you are a parent though self-care is very important. If you aren't taking care of yourself, it is hard to take care of others. This is a hard lesson to learn for some. To this day when I have a moment, usually when my daughter is napping, I could take some time for myself but instead I think of all the other things I need to get done, and I try to tackle some items on my to do list. This is why I have had an unused…Continue

Creams Vs. Pellet Therapy
Bioidentical hormone therapy, also known as natural hormone therapy helps with the normal restoration of biochemical balance in our body. It does not aggravate your risk of any side effects or complications in the long term as is seen with synthetic hormonal formulas. Having said that, the benefits and efficiency of the BHRT depends largely on its…Continue

In one of the best pranks I know, you leave out a bowl of M&Ms. Unbeknownst to others, you place a smattering of Skittles directly underneath the M&Ms. Most people who eat M&Ms (at least in my friend circle) do so by the handful. So, all you have to do is wait for your victims to grab a handful of candy and shove them into their mouths, releasing a strange mix of chocolate and tangy fruit all in one go.…

Did your hospital or midwife allow eating during labor? Most of us MomCavers weren’t allowed to eat once we arrived at the hospital. The reasoning behind this (barbaric, in our opinion) practice is that in an emergency, general anesthesia may be used and any food eaten could aspirate into the lungs. While this may be a concern in very rare cases, most laboring moms are doing the most physically demanding work of their lives and could use some sustenance.

O.K., I admit it, sometimes I HATE breastfeeding. There, I said it. At three a.m. when I am awakened for the third time by my sweet eleven month old nuzzling up against my shirt and crying, I have to say that I have bottle-feeding baby envy. I want nothing more than to hand my baby over to my soundly…Continue

What is the one thing you come into contact with more than anything else? The answer is, Fabric. You wear clothes for most of the day, you sleep the night away on sheets/blankets and you dry off with towels after a bath or shower.
So I would definitely say that whatever you wash your fabrics in should be…
