“Wait a minute!” you may be thinking. Childbirth is scary with lots of drama and pain! How could it possibly be “smart” and “sexy”? That’s just crazy, right?

I wanted to mention a few things I have changed in our home: I started to use raw honey, gluten-free products, and non-toxic, natural sunblock and deodorant.

Back in the day, I spent my free time making all natural bath and beauty products. My research into natural ingredients, their function and what I could make with them was ongoing and extensive (still is). At the time, my husband and I lived in England, and the people there loved my creations (I even did home shows- like Pampered Chef or Mary Kay, with my products!). When I became pregnant for the second time, it took visiting my local doctor once for me to decide that home birth was a must for me. And although I’d considered home birth on occasion, when I finally settled into that route for my birth, it became a life-changing endeavor for my husband and I.
Birth can be empowering. Transformative. And such a positive experience. Natural birth. Home birth. It can be all of these things and more. So, for whichever route you choose…Continue
