Confessions of a former blog hater

Before I go any further I need to admit something - I used to make fun of people who blog. I apologize if this explanation offends any of my fellow bloggers ;).

I just didn't get the point of blogging. My thought was, why do people think anyone cares about what they have to say? Talk about being full of it! I mean, it's one thing if you're sharing new data, known facts, you know, useful information.....it's another if you're just spouting out randomness.

     I was really…

To Blog or Not to Blog? That is MY question....

Let's just say I am a bit overwhelmed by everything blog! I know I'm a beginner and I'm sure there is a lot to learn.  But where do I begin?

The thing of it is, I know I have information that other women would find useful.  I've been through a lot in my short life and have gained a ton of perspective.  I don't like to give up on anything, and certainly do not want to take away time from my baby.

Maybe I need some good constructive criticism or…

Chinese New Year - Year of the Rabbit

It’s the Year of the Rabbit!

The most important holiday on the Chinese calendar, Chinese New Year celebrates not only the changing of the seasons but also the spiritual side of a new beginning.

Homes are scrubbed from top to bottom to sweep out any ill fortune and welcome in good luck. Debt is repaid and sometimes forgiven… squabbles are settled and peace is…

How do you keep your New Year's Resolutions?

I was inspired to consider how I was thinking about, and managing projects for the New Year when I read this great blog post from the Sassy Ladies, one of my favorite business blogs written by a great group of women.  Thought I'd share the part that inspired me, and hope it does the same for you...

Free Read from Paranormal Suspense Romance STRONGER THAN SIN - the Awakenings Excerpt

This Wicked Wednesday I'm offering up an excerpt from STRONGER THAN SIN that I've titled "Awakenings" because as Jesse and Liliana are thrust together, understanding awakens desire, especially in Jesse. He's been alone for so long that Liliana's caring and compassion are almost overwhelming.

If you cannot see the excerpt below, you… Continue

Guilty Pleasure Heat for an Arctic Monday

How cold was it this morning when I left my house? 2 degrees Fahrenheit. 2! How cold is that really? Well take a look at this snapshot of the Bryant Park fountain which was freezing over from the arctic chill.

Well, we definitely have to generate some heat to combat that arctic chill and what better way than with a nice hot Guilty Pleasure? But with it being so cold, we need a man who can heat us up in the kitchen as well with something so delectable we'll be… Continue

My New Ride!

A Clean Slate

See http://foodliesandtruth.blogspot.com/ for more posts.

A new year is like a crisp, clean, white piece of paper. It has potential. It has hope. It has promise. Anything can happen. And unlike birthdays when we look back in despair, on New Year’s Day we look forward in…

New Year...New Panties

Despite the fact I don’t really make New Year resolutions, there is something fresh about a new year. It’s almost as if the weight and worries of last year have been removed from my shoulders. Like most people, I would like to lose weight, exercise more, spend more time meditating, and make more time with my husband, but why is it we think about all of these things all at…

Promises, Promises

http://projectsupermom.blogspot.com/2011/01/promises-promises.html

So, New Year's is a little different for me this year. I am 4-months pregnant, so while I excitedly see "everyone" sharing their New Year's resolutions, I feel a little…

New Year's Resolutions

So the term resolution means something that is resolved or finished, so I've always been confused as to why they are called New Year's Resolutions instead of just new goals. What are new year's resolutions? Are these things you work at for a few months and then just toss aside in failure? Do you actually stick to yours the whole year? It seems to me that they are always set up to fail. I hate failing. (read more)

Still here? Me too. (Video of my baby's life from the day she was born til now)

I thought I'd bring in the New Year with a video of my baby's life from

the day she was born (December 9th, 2009) up until now. I worked my ass

off on it. Did you know that she's been alive for three years even

though she's only just turned one? This was the super nerdy fact my

husband presented to me this morning.

Right before I informed him that I had saved our marriage.

Let me explain.

Instead of sex…

Reflections of a Roller Coaster Decade

As I sit here, surrounded by my family, I can’t help but reflect on what a delicious and torturous decade this has been.

When 2000 began, I was a newlywed, barely 20-year-old, rose-colored glasses wearing ass-clown. I had no idea what being a true adult was like, but,…

Resolutions for a Better World: A Blogshare Opportunity

Each year, as the calendar turns from December to January, greeting a new year and leaving one behind, millions of people make "New Year's Resolutions". Typically, they resolve to improve themselves or their lives in some fashion. Popular themes for resolutions include health (losing weight, exercising more, drinking less, quitting smoking), finances (spending less, saving more, developing and/or sticking to a budget, changing careers), and organization (better time management, minimizing…
