When I found out that I was pregnant with my third child, words couldn’t describe how excited I was after the initial shock wore off. It took us a while to become pregnant and though the timing might have been off slightly everything worked out. I was blessed with a beautiful, healthy little…Continue

On Monday, February 25, 2013, we welcomed our 3rd son into the world…
He’s perfect… all 8 lb. 6 oz. of him…
From his dark head of hair down to his 10 tiny PiggyToes…
2 Sleeps Peeps; that’s all.
I’ve lifted up my shirt maybe 5,793,421 times because every twist, lift and crunch feels like I released 497 stretch marks. And then, No. Not so… Not one… YET. They’re there though; I feel them…Continue

This is what I call a Lazy Mamas Crockpot Dinner! I came up with this dish one morning with no recipe, I wasn’t inspired by anything in particular; I opened my refrigerator and had carrots, pre-sliced mushrooms and chuck roast. That was dinner. You can see how lazy I was because I didn’t even cut the carrots, but with…Continue

Anemia is very common during pregnancy due to the increased blood flow in a woman’s body. Your doctor will test your blood during your first prenatal visit to ensure that you aren’t anemic at the beginning of your pregnancy. When a woman is pregnant, her body will produce up to 50 percent more blood than…Continue

I’m alive. and large. and Pregnant. Still. I haven’t wrote in my blog recently because honestly, by the end of the night (my blogging/writing time) I’m spent and my brain stops functioning. Literally. It stops. I’ve been a busy little bee around our nest though! Some days I ‘forget’ that I have an extra X lbs attached to my…Continue

I put together this crockpot on a cold, snowy day. I knew by lunch-time that the last thing I wanted to do was stand in the kitchen cooking dinner come 5pm so this was perfect! I put all of the ingredients in the crockpot, stirred and turned it on high for 4 hours.
Though I couldn’t taste anything (thank…Continue

I put this crock-pot together on Sunday when the boys were recovering from the flu. Yes, I already know what you’re thinking… Mexican food? With the flu? Crazy, right? Well, they pretty much spent Friday and Saturday on the couch, eating nothing but toast with jelly,…Continue

There has never been a dull moment in raising our 2 boys. Never. Each day, each week, each month, each year has been such an awesome adventure and has opened my eyes to a whole new world. My way of thinking has changed, the way I view the world around me is different, our way of playing, how we talk… It’s always been…Continue

Babies begin to hear your voice around 16 after they are conceived. So they begin learning how to listen while inside of the womb. As, your babies hearing develops they will begin hearing other sounds besides their mommy’s voice and can even recognize those sounds once he or she is born. A baby is similar to a sponge and takes in everything that he or she hears or sees, even before they are born. If you don’t want your child to exposed to certain language or behaviors, you should…Continue

Let me just start by saying, whoever thought that taking a road trip when your 8 months pregnant… wait, no. I should really start by saying how sweet it was that my hubby took the time to plan a little family getaway after the holidays. In all honesty, it was an awesome idea; one I would normally love if I weren’t 8 months pregnant with a God awful back problem. I knew this would be quite an adventure as it was, taking 2 toddlers and a psycho dog to the mountains. Now…Continue

The Lamaze birthing technique is probably the most common child birthing technique that is taught by hospitals and child birth educators. This birthing technique was created by Dr Fernand Lamaze in the 1940′s to help women cope with the pain of childbirth. He felt that women were capable of giving birth without the need of medical intervention. The goal of his techniques was to empower women and teach them how to cope with child birth pain.

I can only imagine that every member of my family just read the title and clicked on it so fast thinking I was writing a post about them! Slow your hearts down… I’m writing to all the mamas and friends who have written me over the course of this month. I’m at a stand-still right now with nothing to do. That’s right… NOTHING. It feels odd and I’m a little out of place. I have nothing to bake or cook, nothing to wrap, nothing to clean and only 1 basket of laundry to fold. SO I guess, as…Continue

Coffee? Tea? Let’s chat! I’m here and still alive but this is the time of year I usually feel like I fall off the face of the earth. I feel like I’ve been so focused and wrapped up in my own little family of 4 (soon to be 5) and realize that I’ve not given much attention to those around me! Is that normal? Is it just what happens at certain stages of motherhood? I’m definitely in that stage. Sometimes I get overwhelmed when I try to keep up. Sometimes scrolling through…Continue

I leave the room and sit in the lobby for them to finish my paperwork. While I’m waiting, I send Jason a text saying, “I just wanted to let you know that I’m at Planned Parenthood. They confirm that I am pregnant and due in November.”
He sends a text back saying, “I don’t even know what to say to you.”
Stunned by this reply, I’m at a loss for how to respond. How does he not know what to say to me? Last I knew, it takes two for this result to happen.
He sends a follow-up…Continue
