My son was in the loft playing office.
Even if he hadn't told me this several times, I would have been able to figure it out based on the number of "important meetings" and "back-to-back" phone calls he said he had. At some point he told me his…

Microsoft has a plan that may win over clients like me, by including more inherent intelligence - instead of simply more power-client features - to its center Office applications. Word is getting new research and editing tools. Furthermore, PowerPoint is getting another visual-signal right hand.
The word tool for research is aimed for students when they are creating research papers. That is,…Continue

One of the standing items on my "to-do" list for the past couple of years has been to get passports for my twins. (Cause ya just never know when you might need to skip the country, right?) I knew it was gonna be a huge hassle, which is the main reason I've put it off for so long. But, in true Nucking Futs…Continue

A home office can be great because it gives you a private space to work and keep work necessities secure and easy to locate. However, a small, cluttered home office can make you feel claustrophobic and lower your productivity, but there are ways to make a small room feel larger and make it a pleasant place to work in.
Pick a light color scheme of no more than three colors and stick to it. Use variations on the shades for different items. Paint…Continue

Or a chain gang. Or both. Cause seriously? This shit's gotta stop. The kid has been sent to the principal's office not once but TWICE in one week, and one of those times was on…Continue

Yesterday, I sat sweating in a chair in the dentist's office. In the waiting room. Because I hate the dentist. Yes, I know. Bad. But I can't help it. I've tried to change. They were both getting their teeth cleaned, and I was biding my time, taking deep breaths and reading fashion magazines.…Continue
