Moms & Daughter's Need Safe Cosmetics

I am a mom just like you.  I offer alternative cosmetics that are "paraben" & cruelty free.  Chemicals in cosmetics that are bought retail are not as safe as you think. Therefore, I am on a mission to buy and offer cosmetics/skincare that is safe and effective for myself and my daughter.  Please see EYE ON GREEN MAGAZINE. I publish this online organic/green beauty guide to let all know that there are better, and safer choices out there. My Website EYE ON BEAUTY also offers lip…

Gotta love coming home to groceries instead of bareness!

Another savings and I did not have to leave!

We had a death in the family and we had to leave rather quickly and I knew I was coming home to so bare necessities! I did not want to come home to that so I got onto …

Things I've Learned This Week

** Skid marks can suck it.

** If you can drive five REALLY loud eight-year-old girls without wrecking the car, you can do just about anything.

** I think I'm gonna make it easier on myself and just give everyone access to my bank account this Christmas.

** Stupidity is what makes the world go round (or at least it seems…

Where The Eff Are You, Clyde?

WARNING: ** Look away if you don't like an occasional f-bomb every now and then.  Cause in this case?  It just couldn't be helped.  (Sorry, Mom and Dad....) **

Every year our "Elf on the Shelf" tradition brings me a combination of both…

Things I've Learned This Week (& A Gift Card Giveaway!!!!)

** Every time I try to be the early bird, my kids have already beaten me to the damn worm.

** The apple doesn't fall far from the tree since my son evidently also writes "notes to self".

** I'm a little obsessed with Thymes Frasier Fir line for the holidays.

**After living with a…

My Handy Little Wristlet

I'm a new mom with ants in my pants.  Well, maybe I'm not so much ansty as busy.  Along with my newborn I have a part time job, a business to run AND I'm trying to maintain a small amount of an adult social life.  I know I am not the only mom with this kind of a schedule.  Along with changing places I am frequently…

A Back To Work Breastfeeding Bag

My lovely maternity leave came to an end this week.  The evening before I realized I had a whole new bag of goodies to lug with me back and forth on work days:  my breast pump and its accessories.  As I was packing up my bag I thought it may be a good list to include for any new moms returning to work or moms needing to take their breast pumping on the road.  Here is a list of items that I included in my bag:

  1. Pump, Cones and Pump Bottles
  2. Freezer Storage Bags for Pumped…

Saving money at the grocery without coupons

Couponing, it least extreme couponing typically does not allow for the healthier food option at the grocery. I found a healthier way to save some money at the grocery.

I am saving $81.00 a month at the grocery. I am sharing my YouTube video with you that explains it all:) Yes Tawna on YouTube, I am getting the hang of it! Tried embedding it but it will not show up so here is the link. My channel is tawna6988…

Rest

Those silly Braxton Hicks started a couple of weeks ago.  Annoying "fake" contractions that indicate that the body is preparing, exercising, for labor.  It's normal and expected.

But they began to grow stronger and stronger in intensity, until Sunday afternoon when they grew so intense that I could no longer stand up straight,…

Are We Getting Closer?

I am 30 weeks along.

I have an 18-month old.

It seems the housework never ends.

My floor is sticky.

I can't bend over anymore to pick up all the toys scattered everywhere.

I have tons of translating work to do, and a worship list to arrange by Friday.

It…

Father's Day Gift Guide

It was during a Mother’s Day church sermon in 1909 that the thought of having a “Father’s Day” was born. Sonora Smart Dodd, in Spokane, Washington was raised solely by her father, after her mother died when she and her five siblings were young. She felt that fathers deserved as much recognition as…
