All Set for Learning

It’s almost impossible to escape the fact that it’s back to school time again.  Nowadays the ads for new clothes and school supplies seem to begin at the Fourth of July.

For homeschoolers, whether we’re launching another school year or continuing on a year-around adventure, this is a great…

Pet Peeves & Perfection

Living surrounded by testosterone leaves a lot to be desired. Even both of our dogs are male. Shawn once joked that I should put the lid back up on the toilet when I'm done. (Democracy.)

Back To School: mUm, Where Did I Put My Book?

http://crikeymum.blogspot.com/2010/08/back-to-school-now-where-did-i-put-my.html

If, like me, you are counting the days 'til Summer holidays take a hike, then you are also getting ready for the back to school madness that, somehow clings to my, almost 11, step-daughter, and probably, most children this age!

This whole back to school madness, with missed lunches, dog ate…

Daily Family Planner

I tend to have a one-track mind. Once I start something, that's it; everything else kinda gets put on the back burner until that thing is done. I've always known this about myself, but every now and then the reality of my blinders hits me. The most recent focus of my time and energy has been my blog. I get up in the morning… Continue

If you want to get the most for your money, you need to do a few key things before you go shopping:

  • Make a list. You should never go to a store without a…

So Many Books...So Many Colors

A task for the kid-less weekend…

Yep. What do I do when the girls are at their grandparents and my wonderful spouse is at work?Organize our book shelf by color! Yes, I’m weird. (And just in case you think I’m nuts too, I also took walks and had lots of time to write.)

I’d seen this long ago on some blog and thought, “Now that would really improve our bookshelf.” I’m always searching for ways to simplify things in our home since clutter and mess really…
