The first time I tried to be vegetarian, I was 10 years old and it lasted for about half a day.
I demanded a meat-free breakfast, to which my mother first balked and then obliged (after a short Q&A sesh in the kitchen “What made you decide this?/ I don't know” and “What do you want instead of meat?/ I don't know”) and I happily ate my cheesy scrambled eggs and buttered toast.

Rascal had to be rescued from the dog kennel yesterday while I went to run a few errands. The dog was giving him the evil eye yesterday for being in her kennel and I didn’t want her to take revenge on him. So I placed him on the fireplace mantel so that he was safe and out of harms way.
