Are Your Kids Playing with Dangerous Toys?

Recalls Plus gives parents peace of mind

Baby cribs. Highchairs. Toys. Apple juice. Medicine. They all have one thing in common: at least one brand in each category has been recalled because it was unsafe for our children.

That's alarming! If you're a parent, you most certainly have these products in your home. Do you track the long list of product recalls everyday to ensure your kids are safe? I don't either. So when one of my readers told me about a new app…

Influenster Holiday VoxBox: Broadway Nails imPRESS Press-On Manicure

Right before bed I decided to try out another product from my InfluensterHoliday Vox Box.  This one is the Broadway Nails imPRESS Press-On Manicure.  First off, it's so rare that I have my nails done and this was a great treat for me.  Every time I've tried to paint my own nails one hand comes out great while my right hand is a huge mess.  I tried press on nails in the past but the mess from the glue…

Vitabath Review

Hello all! This is my first attempt at a video review so go easy on me. It took 9 tries before I was able to talk without stuttering and yes I'm in my bath robe! It's REALLY cold up here right now. Maybe I'll try to look "cute" for the next one. Hahah... who am I kidding? Let me know what you think?  Continue

DotMine - Organization for Professionals, Families and Students

I have so many friends who have the latest smartphone – with all its fancy apps and productivity tools – yet, they still prefer to carry the good old-fashioned paper agenda.

I get it, actually. There is something very rewarding about jotting down do-not-forget’s and to-do’s on paper. And there is an immediate, tactile satisfaction too in scratching off that “done” item and…

Protect Yourself From Bed Bugs - Ewww

We have all heard of the recent infestation of bed bugs, even in the most reputable hotels and retail venues. Bed bugs don’t discriminate and super cleanliness doesn’t detract them either.  I can brush off a spider with the back of my hand, but the idea of bed bugs anywhere near totally paralyzes me. It almost – almost – is reason enough for me to never want to leave my home. Since that is not an option, I thought I should research products that would help with the bed bug problem. And allow me… Continue

Full Circle Home - Eco Style Function

In honor of Earth Day (tomorrow!) we thought that we would highlight a green company that – to us – exemplifies what an environmentally-friendly consumer product manufacturing company should be.

That would be Full Circle, a company that produces green lifestyle tools that are stylishly designed,…

Ideal No Calorie Sweetener

Raise your hand if you drink coffee every day or at least a few times a week? That would be me. I am as much a coffee drinker as I am a blogger and a mother. I probably should have put mother before blogger. ;) Anyway I use two (heaping spoonfuls of sugar in my coffee a day) Its pretty much a two/two/two ratio. Two Heaping spoonfuls of coffee that makes 4 cups of coffee brewed, then two spoonfuls of creamer make what I call a delicious cup of joe...… Continue

Fresh Wave: Clear the Air

I am a huge fan of Fresh Wave odor eliminators. Not only are they eco-friendly, but they have no strong perfumes or fragrances to mask odors (which give me a serious headache). They are made of natural ingredients such…

Diaper Genie II Review

So even though I mostly cloth diaper my son, I decided to get a Diaper Geni for the two other babies in my care that are in diapers... to be honest when things get busy, I just throw my son in disposables until I have time to catch up with the laundry. Don't ask me how I went so long without a diaper geni, but we'd just… Continue

Easy Bake Oven is a Hot Mess

Whoever invented the Easy Bake Oven should be forced to eat nothing but Easy Bake foods for the rest of his life. These things have been around for almost 50 years. You'd think someone would have figured out by now that it's more fun to buy some real cookie mix, bake it in the real oven, and actually eat the cookies. The stuff that comes out of that cheap plastic, light-bulb heated contraption isn't even close to food. It's like some kind of dehydrated space food from NASA.
