It was Thanksgiving Day and all of my homemade pumpkin soup and pumpkin puree I had so tirelessly prepped during the week and froze cracked, broke, and poured into my tiny freezer. Throughout the entire month of October, Eamon had been "collecting" pumpkins and lining them up in sweet little spots throughout the house, occasionally trying to roll the largest one through the rest in an effort to reenact Linus and Lucy picking their carving pumpkin at the beginning of "The Great Pumpkin" Charlie Brown special. There were large ones, small ones, white ones,…

The weather is changing, our routines are changing, and soon it will be fall. Back to school and falling leaves may make it feel like fall is here, but these days nothing makes me think fall like pumpkin spice everything!
Yes, lots and lots of pumpkin used in things you would expect (coffee…Continue

** I'm not sure what's disappearing faster around here -- my money or our iPhone chargers.…
** I may or may not know something about the lack of Kit Kat's in our Halloween candy stash.
** Costumes should really be a part of every day.
Halloween and Thanksgiving are quickly approaching, so I decided to get my youngest son to help me make some cute pumpkin table decorations using construction paper. I laid newspaper down on the kitchen table so that my youngest son wouldn’t get glue all over the table. I keep a stash of craft and supplies in my …Continue

What an amazing weekend we had here!
Saturday was a little rainy but that didn’t stop us from going out and running some errands. Since it’s been so chilly around here we wanted to get Emmett some warmer clothes and possibly a jacket. He has plenty of long sleeve shirts but no real sweatshirts and of course being a first time mama, I wanted to find some warm cozy fleeces for him. So the husband and I headed to Carter’s first. We found loads of warm clothes and spent way too much…Continue

What better way to welcome autumn than with some scrumptious pumpkin, Nutella (need I say more?!) muffins!
This "toddler-friendly" recipe is a variation of my baby-friendly "Pumpkin Spice Muffin Bites." It's a little more indulgent but still relatively healthy as I substituted the butter with coconut oil (yes, it IS healthy in small doses...not convinced? Check out…Continue
** Candy corn disappears faster than wine in my house. (And that's FAST!!!)
** My allergies can seriously suck it.
** Little girls and drama go together like hookers and high heels.
** It's called a "hot" glue gun for a reason. Ouch!
** I'd forgotten how much I wanna feed Barney cookies laced…Continue
I will be the first to admit that Halloween is probably my least favorite festivity. But that does not mean I am a party pooper. Au contraire! With two young girls in the house, I have to keep my ghoulish spirits up during this time of year.
And although I can’t say either that I am a very crafty person, I do like to do fun projects with my girls who love being creative. So, this year I searched for a few simple things for us to do together and I came up with some great…Continue
