Are You Having Fun With Your Teenager? At first glance some of you may think this is a trick question! It isn’t. I ask the question for several reasons.
The first is because so many of the parents who contact me for… Continue

Don’t you love how nature provides us with a specific time each year to enjoy new beginnings after a long winter of hibernation? Everywhere we look we see evidence of “new life” appearing. Buds on the trees, blossoms on the flowers and the… Continue

I have never called myself Daddy's Little Girl, but somehow, I have always felt like I am! Continue
And, even though I'm all grown up now, my Dad's 'Leo' strong, positive influence still plays a huge part in my life, just as it did when I WAS a little girl.
I can still hear Dad telling my sister and I that drugs and cigarettes will kill…

Today I took my first steps inside a gym (to actually use the equipment rather then the joining process or to have a look around) for a loooooooooooooooooong time. The last time I worked out in one was when I lived in London and I used to go to a Government run gym in Swiss Cottage, North London maybe 8 years ago or so! Blimey! Where do the years go?! Continue
'The Lawyer' and I both became members of a gym company here aptly (and laughingly) called…

Should a woman snoop through her man's wallet? The temptation
may be great, but what about the implications. I would definitely not do it.It's the same as invading someone's privacy. I wouldn't want the same thing to be done to me, perhaps a man to snoop on my purse, pager, cellphone or even emails. Would it bother you if your partner snoop through your personal things?… Continue

Hi everyone! My son just made this video about a girl he is in love with! He has always been so shy! But his gift is filmmaking! So the only way for him to express his feelings for the girl was to make this film! I think it is the most romantic way to get a girl's attention that I've ever seen in my whole life!! What do you think?? You have to see it to believe it!

I was shocked yet thoroughly entertained by a friend of mine who told me that his sister got her fiance to agree (then adhere to when they got married) to change his last name to the last name of her child's father.. He agreed to that! Ha!
I spent some time thinking about the dynamics of a relationship and the personality of these two individuals that could lead to this sort of decision, and was thinking if I could ever be so self-serving, inconsiderate and downright… Continue

I expected that having a baby would add new challenges to being married. So, I am not surprised that there are moments when I'd like to kill my husband and, I'm positive, vice versa. I decided to write this post after a disagreement on the weekend about the difference in our lives right now, and by lives I mean having a life vs. not having one.
What am I bitter about? Well for starters, how about the fact that pregnancy turned my body into a never-ending project? I have to lose… Continue

“Poppies, Poppies will put them to sleep. Sleep. Now they’ll sleep.”
----The Wicked Witch of the East
It’s spring and in Southern California that means the poppies are sprouting alongside the freeways and medians, their bright orange flowers are gorgeous eye candy as we dash from one thing to the next. It was a field of poppies that almost kept Dorothy from reaching Emerald City. Caught up in their beauty, Dorothy runs through them, encouraging her friends to come along, distracted by… Continue

This weekend I attended a beautiful Greek wedding. It was a very ceremonial event lasting over an hour and filled with tradition and symbolism. At one point in the ceremony, the priest spoke about the roles of both the husband and wife. As he read from his scriptures he talked about the bond between a man and a woman, how he is to love her as he loves himself and how she is to love him like no other. As much as she is to honor him, he (the priest… Continue
