Pitch Perfect: Write a Product Review that Sings!

Product reviews can increase your blog’s search engine rankings, make you more visible and appealing to brands and you can score some cool loot along the way. However, getting a brand to select you to review their products is no one-two punch—it’s actually a lot of work.

From grooming your blog to creating the perfect pitch letter, follow…

Smart Cookies Game Review #FoxMind

When we first started to play this game we were confused. The instructions were simple but I wasn't sure if I read it correctly because we just breezed through the first few puzzles. We were left wondering where the challenge was.

My children are 6 and 8, but they play Sudoku so they understand puzzles and logic. This is…

Of Course I Want You To Stroke Me...Er, My Ego

If you're an entrepreneur, you need to have a thick skin. You'll come into contact with plenty of naysayers who will try to blast your ideas to smithereens. Don't let them break your stride. LOL. I'm totally dating myself by making that reference...…

Frost Vox Box

I love to receive a box of goodies, especially when the box of goodies actually has things in it, that I'm interested in using. Of course I'm grateful to be able to try something new...free...but still there's usually something or things in the box I've never heard of, cannot use and can't even give away. Not this time!

In the…

InStyler Products Review, Deal and Giveaway!

I received three InStyler tools and I was excited to try them, because I saw them on TV and wondered if they actually worked for my hair type. My hair is naturally curly, but I don't have silky curls, I have coarse curls, so it's usually a battle trying to straighten my hair bone straight without using a hair relaxer. I won't say "never again", but after officially going natural in early 2013 I have…

Adovia Purifying Mud Mask Review

I finally got around to trying the Adovia Purifying Mud Mask, with Pure Dead Sea Mud, Aloe Vera and Vitamin C. I haven't used a face mask product since I was a pre teen copying my mom one day. I was excited, especially because it has Pure Dead Sea Mud, which is known to provide great results.

This product is for all skin types, so I wasn't really…

Wineducation: Wine in a Book

I love wine, but like many things that I proclaim to love I don't know all that much about it.  Being a busy Mama I tend to find something I like, in this case a Merlot or Petite Sirah, and keep moving without taking the time to figure out exactly what it is I like about it.  The web is a great place to research and gather information like little eggs in a wire basket, but I do enjoy a tangible item that I can hold, mark my place, and add notes if I feel so inspired, so to fulfill those…

Anakena Chile Carmenere: Wine with a Wild Side

It’s been awhile since I’ve had the chance to try any new wines, I have been searching my normal haunts (Trader Joe’s, Costco, and the Wal-Mart) and have been striking out in finding anything interesting that fits into my Middle-Class wine parameters (under ten bucks a bottle). Then, while on his own perfect brew mission, the Hubs returned from the Total Wine with something different, a Chilean Carmenere, and viola a new bottle to taste and share my thoughts on was…

Buffalo Grove Merlot: A Wild Bet?

I used to consider myself a Cabernet Sauvignon type of girl. I loved the rich red hues, bold flavors, and the security of what to expect when ordering a glass of wine when out at a restaurant, but recently my taste have changed.  Now I would say that I gravitate more towards Merlot and Pinot Noirs (which is unfortunate because of the Pinot's more expensive price tag), but I find these two reds range of taste more broad, and usually more enjoyable as well.…

Establish a Bed Time Routine for Your Child and Calm Their Fears With Monster Defense Spray

Over the last several weeks, I have noticed that my youngest son doesn’t like to go to bed at night.  I am not sure if he is scared of the dark, terrified to be alone, dealing with separation anxiety, if he is just going through a phase where he wants to be independent, or he is afraid of “monsters” hiding under his bed or in his closet.   Every night we go through the same exact routine, my youngest son will throw a fit and he will tell me that he doesn’t want to go to bed.  Each night we…

Red Leaf Tea - Caramel Matchaccino Review

I was given the opportunity to try two products from RedLeafTea.com. The Caramel Matchaccino and the Naturally flavored Eggnog Matcha. I've never heard of either products, but I was excited to try them. Here's my thoughts in the Caramel Matchaccino.

Raising Redemption by R.A. Russell

When I was asked to review Raising Redemption, I jumped at the chance because it sounds like a great read and it had an excellent story line based on the excerpt from the back of the book.  I realize that life is full of twists and turns and that everything in life doesn’t always go according to the way we plan things.  As a parent often times, we have high…
