With all the recent talk of the stroller recall
I thought this was a good time to put together the 2nd stroller we bought last weekend. After going back and forth through the stroller aisle in Babies R Us and trying out strollers ranging from $100 to upwards of $300 we decided on… Continue

Hunt Her Down by Roxanne St. Claire
Wow! What a great book! I am pretty picky about what I read for enjoyment and this one definitely hit the spot! I was thrilled to find the Bullet Catcher series and I saw that other readers of Roxanne St. Claire's bullet catcher series say that they are addicting i checked on Twitter :) In this book we meet Maggie a young lady dating a drug smuggler and money laundering family member. She also has a love affair… Continue

We are right in the middle of potty training and I was JUST thinking the other day how gross it is that the boy is always touching all over the potty to lift up the toilet seat. So when I got the opportunity to review the Shandle (toilet seat handle) I thought, "What a neat and functional idea!" Not only does it prevent "Easy" from touching the toilet seat, but its also a cute constant reminder to wash his hands! Love it! These even make great gifts! Here's what the website says about the… Continue

Emery is our first little one to have a fluffy bum from birth. I chose to go with mostly fitteds and covers for the newborn stage. I also ordered some all-in-ones for this stage. I love the fitted option for a newborn! Those explosive newborn poos never leaked with our fitteds and covers. If the poo somehow managed to make it out of the fitted, which was rare, it was still trapped in the cover. So, no up-the-back-and-into-the-hair poo messes with Emery. And his little bum was oh-so-adorable!… Continue

We're super busy around here! Especially during the summer. I'm noticing the older Easy gets the more outings we have planned. Everyday we have something. And as many Mom's know... outings with a toddler means a lot of preparation and snacks!
So when I came across the company Haute Lunch I was excited! They make coolers that look like purses! Not the basic, boring, and ugly cooler. Haute Lunch totes are so girly and they have many designs to choose from. These coolers are super cute… Continue

My little guy pretty much lives on snacks these days. I don't like it, but I guess that's the diet of a toddler? So naturally I've been on the look out for at least healthier snacks that he'll eat. I first saw Snikiddy snacks at Babies R Us one time while shopping and I popped open the bag for Easy right there in the store. (I do this often now. hehe) He loved them. So when I had the opportunity to review Snikiddy snacks and realized they had more options to choose from I was… Continue

As a mom, I know how important reading to children is. I actually read to my children within hours of them being born. That is why I was so excited when I got the opportunity to review the Dr. Hippo Series by Charlotte Cowan, M.D.
Charlotte Cowan, M.D. is a board certified pediatrician who decided to leave her practice to write children's books. After reading her Dr. Hippo Series, I am glad she did! These books are designed to help parents and children cope with the trips to the… Continue

Tonight we went to see the new movie Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs in 3-D
. I have to say, I give it a big "Way to Go!"
I have a 2 year old, so sometimes it is hard to hold his attention at the movies. Well, this was not the case today! I even got to hear my little guy laugh out loud as Scrat the Squirrel continues his love affair with his beloved acorn. (and possibly a foxy looking little thing that also loves acorns...)
It has romance, humor, action,… Continue

Like many parents I'm always trying to avoid the amount of sugar my toddler gets. This includes juice filled with sugar. With how busy we are and constantly on the go, I'm finding it easy to throw juice boxes in the diaper bag. "Easy" loves them and they're so much easier. So when I found Wateroos I was stoked! It makes both baby and mommy happy! He gets his juice box and I get less sugar. Yeah! "Wateroos are fruit-flavored waters to be as delicious as possible without sugar or artificial… Continue

I love romantic comedies or just comedies. It makes me happy. When I blog more about the movies I watch, you'll see why! :-) So, it's kind of strange by my standards to find me watching something like AUSTRALIA. I mean, AUSTRALIA?
Fine. I'll choke it up. It's Hugh Jackman, awright? Sheesh.....
But I love Nicole Kidman too - so, give me some credit here. It wasn't ENTIRELY a hormone-based decision.
So, I start watching and get enthralled with Jackman on a horse… Continue

I was approached by the makers of Karito Kids dolls, KidsGive LLC, to review two of their “Word Collection” dolls. The word “Karito” means “charity” and “love of one’s neighbor” in Esperanto. Karito Kids highlights the beauty of each ethnic group and depicts modern-day life in each country and culture, showing children the similarities shared by kids around the world.
Every one of these tall, beautifully crafted dolls comes with the… Continue

My son is 23 months old and we started potty training months back (around 18 months). He was on the younger side, but was showing signs of being ready that I didn't want to ignore. He started off being very interested in his potty, and would simply sit and read a book while I wondered and waited. Most of the time he would go pee or poop. We'd get so excited! We'd scream, jump, and praise him! Because he was younger, I didn't force it. Nothing like a training exercise; just time to time I'd try… Continue

I had the pleasure to review a new self-help book written by Suzy Welch, 10-10-10 — A Life-Transforming Idea.
This book is all about helping you make decisions in life — the small ones and the really large ones. By asking yourself three questions — “What are the consequences of each of my options in 10 minutes, in 10 months, and in 10 years?” — Suzy Welch believes you can make much better choices in your life.
I have always been someone who figures out decisions by herself,… Continue

It was dreamlike. Toys and stuffed animals were everywhere. I really felt like a little kid again as I walked through the lobby and into one of the classrooms. The classroom is a child's paradise. There were lots of toys, manipulatives, paint and other things that is sure to spark a child's imagination. It's a teacher's paradise, too. There were shelves and shelves of teacher resources. It was awesome. As it was the end of the day,… Continue
