Symptoms to Take Notice of in Children

The NHS has been facing ever-increasing pressures in recent years, with slashed budgets, staff shortages and lack of resources taking its toll on the quality of care. One of the many ways we commonly see the impact of these pressures is in waiting times for GP…

Mother of the Bride Guide

The day you’ve dreamed of for years has finally arrived! Your little girl is all grown up and has chosen a partner to start her life with, and you are officially a MoB -- Mother of the Bride! While congratulatory remarks are appropriate at this juncture, so are a few…

How to Through A Larger Than Life Small Wedding on a Budget

This one is as simple as crowdfunding your honeymoon. It might sound strange at first, but do you really need another blender or set of dinner plates? Instead of having your guests purchase a bunch of things you’ll end up trying to return anyway, why not let them chip in for…

Road Rage

My daughter and her friends think I have road rage.  I don’t have road rage; it’s just that I frequently disagree with how others handle themselves on the road.

As we traveled cross country on our 2600 miles, 10-day family road trip to Ontario, Canada we found our smart phones indispensable in making our trip a little smoother. With the assistance of GPS capability, a map app, the RoadAhead app and…

Ms. Direction

Do you have a GPS navigator in your car?  I don’t because I’m a woman and I always know where I’m going.  And if I don’t, I ask…or use a map.  This ancient method has never failed me yet.

However, as a man, my husband is often lost.  He refuses to ask for directions and the only map he has in his truck is a map of Texas, which really doesn’t help him when he is driving through South Dakota.  So, it is probably a good thing he has GPS navigator in both of his…

When Clarity Hits!

Clarity is amazing, when it hits you. I have been working so hard on my business which I truly love, but sometimes I feel like I am working backwards. The other day, it hit me that I needed to make some changes because my business was growing quicker than I realized. If I was to keep up with the pace, what and how was I going to do it. Then, the big CLARITY hit me like a ton of bricks and I just started doing the happy dance. It was amazing because when it hits, it provides you with an outlook… Continue

Nostalgic Yes...Ungrateful No.

I used to sit and watch my friend's kids with envy....not envy...maybe jealousy was the word. This was back in the TTC days when the Hubby

and I were trying, I was charting and taking my temperature and on a high

protein, no caffeine , no fun diet trying… Continue

Hunky Hubs Company Picnic

Almost this time last year when we went to Hunky Hubs Company picnic J

Myster wasn't even crawling yet. This Company Picnic was on my birthday

A Wild Adventure…

Travelling of any sort is always a crap shoot for me. Aside from the logistics of 4 kidlets, (although, with everyone out of “babyhood”, I have finally become adept enough at packing that I can leave behind the kitchen sink!), the Griswold moniker is well earned…I seem to encounter “adventures” that fall outside of the typical. Moreover, MY typical usually falls within…

Vive le Montréal!

Now that I have gotten settled back in from MY incredible road trip, & have a moment or two before my own stolen towels need to be tossed in to the dryer, I know you’re all anxiously awaiting the results of my cheer weekend…right Cheryl??!! Surprisingly, despite living a mere 4 or 5 hours away from…

My First Mother-Daughter Road Trip

Over my daughter’s spring break I decided to take her on a road trip, not to the beach, nor skiing in the mountains, but back to my hometown. I grew up in a small

farming community in east-central Illinois.yes""> Look Tolono up on a map, you might find it just south of

Champaign. It is a 7-hour drive,

so Elle and I packed up Sarge and headed east.yes""> We had ample tunes and conversation to keep us awake and

alert for the…

Life Lesson 7 – Being a Road Warrior!

I should have my own parking space at JFK and LaGuardia. Many industries are like mine, you need to get on a plane to see a customer, work a trade show, evaluate a factory, research a new opportunity, train a sales force or just be present at an industry networking event. There is little you can do about the distance from your family but there is something you can do about making your trip comfortable and productive! I will break it down from booking the trip to arriving home…..
