I signed up for a beginners quilt class at Quilters Quarters
. Sadly, the class doesn't start until the middle of October. If you asked, my friends and family would tell you that there is no way I can wait until October. I am both compulsive and impatient when I want to start a new project. So this morning, as everyone fully expected, I went in search of some fabric so I can get a proper "head start".… Continue

I love free! Only having to pay shipping is a great deal. Vistaprints was so easy to use their website, even with the two changes I made to my existing orders. http://sewpizazzed.blogspot.com/

And not because I like two-story homes. I actually told my husband many years ago that I NEVER wanted to live in a multi-story dwelling. They don't appeal to me. The extra space. The loftiness. The stacking of life. I'm not a 'bird' person. I like roots. Ground. Stability. Well, relatively speaking.
But whenever you utter the word "never" you get re-aligned by good old destiny. So this is our second home in a two-story. Not on purpose, mind you. It's not like we looked at a bunch of… Continue

So it was the day before my very first craft show. In the morning I meticulously.....okay who am I kidding.....I obsessive compulsively checked and rechecked my lists and boxes to make sure I had everything I "needed". Not knowing what to expect, I had compiled lists using suggested guides of "what to bring to…

I had a bright idea one day.....since I have a few things to sew anyway AND there is a craft show coming up.....why not sew a few more and try to start a business? 4 months and hours upon hours of work later I'm realizing a little bit of talent and creativity does not a booming business make. I managed to secure a booth last minute at my very first craft show the week of Thanksgiving. The 2-day show was scheduled for the second week of December. Even though I knew I had a lot of work to…

So I am on a stash busting mission. My crafting table is overflowing with unused fabric. So before I buy any new fabric...I need to bust through this stash!
This dress is still a bit big for my little girl. But super cute. The colors are really bright and it's not really a fabric you'd typically see on a little girl. Which is kind of why I like it so much. It's very unique.
We had an impromptu photo shoot in the castle in my daughter's room (yes my daughter has a tent… Continue

The weather’s heating up here in Southern California. We’re fortunate to live just a mere 20-minute drive above the valley below because temperatures easily pass 100 degrees daily in the summer. As you climb the mountain, you literally watch the temperature gauge in the car drop degree by degree, till you arrive at home. A decent 15-20 degrees cooler simply because we’re at 5,000 feet.
But it still gets hot up here in the mountains.
And the hot weather… Continue

I’ve made a few quilts now, and each one’s always a long endeavor. Much longer than I originally plan. I’m kind of a get-working-get-it-done mind, so quilts are a true test of my patience. You just can’t rush a quilt. And, to make a good one, you can’t just take a few pieces of material. It has to be made of many pieces, lots of stitches, and lots of love.
So, when the house was quiet this weekend, I laid out my Suriname quilt…a work in progress for this past year or so.… Continue

In opening my new store on Etsy (MooseandWormy), I decided that I would give away all my designs for free on my blog. I am a firm believer in free crafting. Most of us have more skills than cash, and it seems dumb that we all have to reinvent the wheel every time we try to make something new. Silly. So, I give away all my designs for free.… Continue
