What I Wore... 5 1/2 Months Pregnant

http://www.thepiggytoes.com/2012/10/29/what-i-wore-5-12-months-pregnant/

Time is flying baby!  Well, not really.  Sometimes, by nights end, my body feels like it did when I was 7 months pregnant with the boys.  My back is really hurting this time regardless of the moves and stretches and exercises I do but I’m not complaining.  Little one is doing great; kicking and moving…

Conflict Resolution

I just recently read a comment on a friend's blog about her decision to stay home for her next baby girl.. while I don't want to be part of the already ridiculous fervor of the so-called "mommy wars", the comment struck a nerve with me. Especially because, the comment's last sentence meant that (although I know the comment has nothing to do with me and I could just be projecting here) the choice of going to work means that one's priorities aren't straight. In any case, stay at home,…

Snow: Everybody Panic!

Snow; a word that incites panic and excitement. Panic for the adults and excitement for the young and young at heart.

On Friday afternoon, there was nervous office chatter about the snow and wintry weather headed our way.  If you don’t know what that means in Washington, D.C., let me illustrate a picture for you. Although it is not necessary to stock up on toilet paper and water, it is necessary to conform with all the other panic-stricken zombies who are. Go to the grocery store…

Style Makeover

I found a link to Ann Taylor's Blog yesterday through Twitter and after going through it I'm hooked!  My style, if you want to call it that is nonexistent.  Ever since Izzy was born I've been running around in "mommy wear".   These are outfits that I pick more for comfort and ease.  I was more concerned about the potential stains and my post baby body than style.  It got to a point were I don't even know what is cute for my body anymore.  It was…

Kind of Like Groundhog's Day

I've been telling my husband lately that my life is a lot like Groundhog's Day.

Monotonous. Yes. But I'm actually the one choosing to shape it that way, since it keeps everything flowing smoothly and sanely here.

My personal Groundhog's Day is complete with:

* Anticipating hunger by pre-preparing snacks.

* Thinking of meals in as far advance as I can stand, so I don't end up in a hot…

SPF (Stupidity Protection Factor)

I know I only post a small photo of myself on this blog. I’ll get all high and mighty and tell you it’s because I want my creative words to strike awe in your heart. Or the tried and true cliché that words are my most powerful tools.
In reality it’s cause I don’t want you all to be jealous of my fabulous sexiness. If Shakespeare was still hanging around he’d write sonnets extolling my beauty. I am a true rose amongst thorns.

Then the most amazing thing…

Making Contact...Again

By the end of the month, my girls look shaggy. Not shabby, mind you. Just a bit more unkempt. That one spot that always gets a tangle every.single.day. remains tangled. Hair is in their eyes. Bothering them. And unknowingly bothering me too.

And shaggy is all good. I'm into it...to a degree. But what… Continue

I Want to Wear a Fascinator
