Swear Words at School

Originally posted at

On the way home from school, Cameron (7) told me the kids in his class were saying a bad word. Apparently it was in a song they were singing. He told me they just kept saying it, even though he told them they shouldn't say it. They just wouldn't listen to him.

My first thought? Swear words at school. I knew this would happen at some point. I'm really not too surprised.…

Dealing with the H-word

My son is very, very angry with me. He shouts at me and stomps his feet. When I don't react to that, he narrows his eyes, lowers his voice and says, "I hate you, Mommy."

“Make sure to go up and…

Potty Mouth Mommy

But James would never repeat a bad word. He just knew. Vincent, however, is a parrot. Nothing can be said around Vincent that you don’t want repeated. He… Continue

Ask any pregnant woman and she will tell you that now she’s expecting what once smelled delicious  - like roasting coffee beans for example, has suddenly become the one smell that induces an overwhelming feeling of nausea. For some women the pregnant nose goes into smell overdrive with incredible detection ability, in fact increased smell sensitivity can save lives. Just ask your local gas company – pregnant…

Black Friday – it’s Not Just About Fashion

Fashion, eh? It comes and goes, then comes back around again, at once fleeting and eternal. A style is in one month and then is never heard of again – until it is heard of again, of course.

The quest for fashionable clothes never ends; it’s just that what is in vogue is always changing.…
