NEW Arm & Hammer Truly Radiant Toothpaste and Spinbrush

I have been using whitening toothpastes since I was a teen. I know the types of food eaten can result in yellow, cream color teeth and I like coffee but I don't drink it often enough for it to have an affect (at least I don't think it should). I've tried whitening strips, gels, mouth wash, some…

Dazzling Smile by Crest 3D White

I cannot be the only one....who has noticed that Southern California is the land of perfect and sparkling white teeth. The drop off at my son's school is full of moms carrying Starbucks coffee, stomping around in hundred dollar (or more) Ugg boots, and setting a fabulous dental standard. My hour glass of time is perpetually half empty leaving me unable to spend much time worrying about my own smile brightness, so I decided to find a great whitening toothpaste and the good news is, I found…

Cavity Prevention Should Begin as an Infant – Baby’s Gum and Teeth Care

Taking care of your child’s teeth is very important and many parents don’t realize that you should begin taking care of them before they come in. When my son was an infant and we were at the doctor’s office for a well check, his doctor informed us that we should begin wiping my son’s gums with a wash cloth and water.  Wiping down his mouth and gums with a wash cloth will get him used to getting his teeth cleaned before he is ever introduced to a toothbrush.  I was a bad mommy and this…

Wisdom Tooth Surgery While Awake

I’ve always been afraid of General Anesthesia and most anesthesia of any type.

So much in fact that I’ve had a colonoscopy, a uroscopy, wisdom tooth extraction, unmedicated childbirth – the list goes on and on – and no, I’m not tough, I’m not macho – I’m terrified of going under.

I’ve found that none of these procedures have been unbearable awake.

And though I’ve had a couple of wisdom tooth extractions, I’d never had an impacted tooth removed while awake, and frankly I…

Naturally Whiten Your Teeth... Some Ways May Surprise You!

I've always been told I have really white teeth. I've had a couple of professional teeth whitening sessions but found that the sensitivity afterwards was uncomfortable and soon learned that too many sessions can leave your teeth a bluish, transparent color (not something I wanted!). I decided to look into some all natural remedies to keeping your teeth white…

 White Wedding

“It’s a nice day for a … White Wedding,” sang Billy Idol in his 1982 album Billy Idol, and indeed it is. But isn’t it always a nice day for a white wedding?

Though many of you may not be getting married in January -- known in Ancient Greece as “the wedding month” -- congratulations are in order for those of you who got engaged…

My Husband Married The Tooth Fairy

I’m not just another ordinary Tooth Fairy. I don’t just slip cash under kids' pillows. I also pull teeth. My kids' teeth and even their friends' teeth. Moms love this, as I save them a small fortune in dentist bills.

I come from a long line of tooth pulling Tooth Fairies. And I can say with great pride, my mother…

Bacon? No, it's a tooth!

On our camping trip this past weekend, a momentous occasion occurred: our 6-year-old son, James, lost his first tooth (it’s actually the second tooth that is missing. He knocked the first one out just before he was three). We were riding from our campsite to the pool when I hear, “I lost a tooth!” You did? ”Yeah! I thought it was bacon… Continue
