Once upon a time, a mom was alone with her thoughts... We all know that's a fairy tale.
There's a running monologue in my head 24/7, that is often both nonsensical and disorganized. If I were an internet browser, I'd have too many tabs open at once and quite a few webpages would be crashing.
No matter how many lists, apps, and calendars I have, it's hard to keep track. Life stuff. Work stuff. Kid stuff. Love stuff. Health stuff. Home stuff. And how to prioritize which…Continue

March First has always represented the beginning of Spring for me. It reminds me of afternoons outside, Spring cleaning, Baseball season, and a fresh start.
Spring is going to get my butt in gear. I plan to get the…Continue

We are all familiar with the phrase Grave Robber, a crime in which an individual raids a tomb to steal artifacts or personal effects from the deceased. Just to clarify that is a crime in which a soul that has passed on is robbed of material thing. However, when an individual steals the joy, a very important component of mental health, from another soul no crime is committed but the repercussions to the victim are far more damaging.

That moment you realize that everything is going right, all that you need or want is coming into your life right when its suppose to be. Some call this luck, coincidence, or just plan chance, but I call this synchronicity or being in the vortex. This whole week I have been focusing my attention on what I do want. Everything you can imagine has gone wrong and I just didn't let it phase me. I just allowed the Universe to do what it must in order for me to get what I need. I have been reading…Continue

It all began in the hospital after our second child's birth; she could be with me all the time as her sister had had. However, there was a specific reason for that: The newly born J had to stay in the hospital because of low blood sugar. I fel t quilty for not being able to be all the time with the baby. On the other hand, when I was with her in the hospital, I felt quilty for not being at home with the 10-months old big…Continue

Sometimes I wonder if I had enough time to keep a journal, what it would read like. Going one step further, what would it read like if I waxed Virginia Woolf and wrote in narrative mode, penning whatever dialogue I had with myself. Would I share such thoughts with people I knew? People I didn't know? Would I risk being committed to a psychiatric facility for the sake of my blog?

I used to be a positive thinker! I didn't know to be negative, really. That was a couple decades ago, though.
Then, along came adulthood.
With adulthood came marriage.
My marriage was not the best marriage. It could have been and should have been a great marriage. But, for some reason, the sweet man I married turned into someone not so sweet.
With my husband's put-downs and all the ugliness of our marriage, I began to think…Continue
